Wow! Not enough good I can say about this unsuspecting place. Market, restaurant, and state liquor store all on the same premise. That’s not even the best part. The FOOD is something out of the taste bud world. Ordered the Triple Threat Mac n Cheese, Reuben, and side salad w Apple Vinaigrette. The portions aren’t small by any means. Our server Nicole is a shining southern Ohio gal w accent and all. Charm, charisma, and you will always want her to be your server. Nothing disappointing about this place what so ever. They must be very popular w the locals because the place def gets foot traffic. Even we came from 3 hrs just to visit here, it won’t be the last time I make the trek to enjoy everything about this place. You should try as well. Thank you Richie’s and Nicole.

The online hours said the restaurant was still open, but when we arrived it turned out only the bar area was operating. We were ready to leave, but the staff wouldn’t have it—they insisted on seating us in the restaurant anyway. Their excitement, friendliness, and positive attitude, especially when they didn’t have to accommodate us at all, was genuinely surprising.

What really stood out was their dedication. Given the late hour, I wouldn’t have blamed them for wanting to go home, but instead they treated us like old friends. We watched sports on their TV, cheered for our teams, and felt completely welcomed.

I didn’t particularly love the dish I ordered, but the experience and the phenomenal customer service more than made up for it. Their hospitality alone is enough to bring me back, and I’m looking forward to trying something new next time.

The building is huge and very clean – large enough for a lot of friends to gather and the patio space is nice. The restrooms were super clean which is one of my first markers that I judge in an eating establishment. We had a party of 4 and we arrived at 5 pm on a Tuesday and were able to sit at a large table immediately. Our server was friendly and very accommodating, and kept checking back as we looked at the menu.
For 4 of us we shared 3 appetizers and they were delicious : cheese curds, mac & cheese bites and queso and cheese. The serving of queso was not nearly enough for the chips but our server brought us more. It was a little spicier than most mexican restaurant queso but still good.
Our party had 6 pc wings (good , not spectacular) chicken strips (again, good) French Dip sandwich (horribly dry and seasoned oddly , overcooked -could not eat it at all ) and the brisket mac & cheese – this dish was horrendously awful – worse than the French Dip. The meat was dried out yet greasy at the same time and the mac & cheese was swimming in a lake of grease so that you could not even tell that it had cheese sauce . (one party member had mac & cheese as a side and while it tasted like Stouffer’s or GFS frozen mac & cheese it was still good and actually cheesy) . My mac & cheese had the cheese washed away by the lake of grease . I took it home to my dog who would not eat it (and mind you – he eats cat litter !!) The only reason I am giving them 3 stars instead of 1 is that their basic fried fare was ok and the server was wonderful.

The Food was amazing.
Brisket was the best I’ve had ever. The pulled pork was smokey and not dry.
The bar tender and waitress was so nice and made sure we enjoyed our time there. Definitely recommend this hidden gem.

Every time I go, I get The Pit Boss. It’s the absolute best thing you’ll ever eat. All of their food is amazing though. The owners are the sweetest people ever, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Passing through Piketon and stopped for a quick bite to eat. Seated, ordered, and served quickly, but that’s where the quickness ended. Asked for a take home box 3 times and the check twice. The excuse was our server was getting ice cream for a family. Place wasn’t really busy but seemed like only 2 servers were taking care of the entire place.

Hidden Gem of Piketon. Great food and great service. Huge sportd bar in back with a large outdoor patio all with plenty of t.v.s to watch games. There’s also a restaurant in front with plenty of seating. We will definitely be back.

Burger time!

Following a service call in Piketon, I find myself at Ritchie’s for lunch. Several locals are here, so that’s always a good sign. Since I travel for work 100%, I get to find new places all the time. The menu here is quite extensive, but the Pit Boss burger got my attention. Double patty, brisket, pulled pork and bacon. It comes with the usual pairing of fries and a Pepsi. Yeah, this thing is huge. I should have cut it in half and taken it with me for later. Although the burger was a tad overcooked, it was juicy and overall an excellent burger. The shoestring fries weren’t perfectly crisp, but also were not limp either. I used the available bbq sauce on the counter for both fries and bites of my burger. The bun always benefits better when you toast it….I’m staying in Columbus, 1.5 hours away, otherwise I’d come again for sure. I hear the tacos on Wednesday are great, and the guy next to me had a big basket of boneless wings I’d get also. There’s plenty of brews on tap, and a very surprisingly higher end shelf of burbon. This place looks like a lot of fun on the weekends. There’s plenty of room and an outdoor patio. If I can get back here again, I will. Ritchie’s is…..

Went in for a quick lunch, had the tacos, 1 chicken, 1 pork, 1 brisket, came with chips and salsa, and a side of slaw, all was really good and a really good price. Will definitely go back
