Good food, great drinks and a nice view of the ocean from the patio. We went early in the evening and it wasn’t super busy, the waiter was nice. We had a small issue with the bill (drinks from another table had been added to our tab) but it was very quickly resolved. We got the pickle spears and onion rings and both were great, the batter was a little heavy for me, but both of my friends really enjoyed it. Fun overall. I’d go back just for the drinks

Food and service was amazing! Onion rings are unlike any other, and the Battery Burger is top notch. Beautiful atmosphere, right near the ocean so you get the cool ocean breeze with that salt water air. I would highly recommend this place as a cool lunch spot after going to the beach! 10/10

Food, beer , service are great. Pizzas, onion rings, and halibut sandwiches were wowza. The beers were exceptional as expected. Outside patio with a view. Great introduction to the menus. Bravo.

I have always been a fan of their beer……their food is top notch as well as the service…….I had the halibut fish sandwich and onion rings and the kids had wings and my wife had the poke tuna bowl…….in addition to their fabulous beer they are now canning cocktails and we started with the cold river blueberry lemon cocktail…..it was very refreshing and tasty…..my wife had the spicy gimlet and loved it………we then finished off the flagship, Flume…….if you’re in wells definitely try them out

From my perspective as an Italian and as a New Yorker, the pizza, crust and toppings, were superb!! The mussels were perfectly cooked. The onion rings crisp, fresh and delicious! Brewed spirits were tasty and fun.
Restaurant is on the second floor so ate outside with a gorgeous view of the marsh.
Plastic chairs but comfortable with friendly attentive waitstaff. We will definitely be back for several meals next summer!!

We go to Wells every year and this was our first visit to Battery Steele and we loved it. I’m a big wings fan and these were some of the best wings I’ve ever had. Drink selections were great for beer and cocktails, and we all enjoyed our meals. And although we came during a busy season we didn’t have to wait. Looking forward to coming back next year and including this as part of our Maine tradition!

This place is going to do so well in the location they are at and I am glad Battery Steele has opened a second location. They will do especially well during the summer with how busy the coastal area gets. Their first location has grown but kinda reached the max size they can get to. I am glad I got to try this location out before the middle of summer crowds show up and discover this place. Battery Steele make some great New England IPAs (their most popular style) as well as lagers, stouts, and sours. Try some of their beers if you have not, but also don’t sleep on their cocktails as well which featured spirits from a local distillery Cold River at the moment. I went with their Spicy Gimlet but all of them sounded great. It had just enough spice but could still taste other flavors as well. The inside is perfect for a coastal restaurant with an outdoor patio that I look forward to checking out next time. The staff we interacted with was friendly and attentive and should do well once they fully open. With it being a soft opening, their food menu is not quite finished, but the fried pickles were a great appetizer to split. I look forward to seeing how well this location does and returning to try more of their food and cocktails.

They had seven or eight beers on draft. We had the Endless Ride Kettle Sour, Vagabond Dreamer, and Flume (one of my favorite beers ever). The mushroom pizza was delicious, as were the halibut puffs and clam chowder. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the owner, Jake, came to check on us as well. Don’t forget to get some merch on the way out! I would highly recommend this spot in Wells, as well as the brewery in Portland.

Absolutely fantastic. Have been multiple times including a company event. Everything was handled amazingly and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend whether you are looking for dinner or looking for a place to host an event. Jake the owner and Cooper the chef are amazing and have some of the best customer service I have ever seen! Can’t wait to go back. The Fungi pizza is a must. The fries are homemade and delicious.

Our waitperson was sweet, prompt and kept a good eye on us throughout our meal.
We started with a Pino grigio for Jim and an Aurora IPA for me, both great.
For meals, Jim had a halibut sandwich and I had yellow curry mussels. Both were very tasty.
Other way out we complimented the manager on the great food, service and atmosphere. We certainly will be back.
