Anthony Bourdain always talked the best spots perfect around 1-3 dishes. Not sure if he ever made it to Guy’s, but man it embodies that spirit. Guy was dressing and prepping tons of shrimp and catfish po-boys, I went to do a drive by hi and he continued to talk to me for about five minutes, not missing a beat at his craft. I said I was from Dallas so when my po-boy was read he said “hey cowboy” and my wife and I got a big laugh. And it was graciously overstuffed with shrimp and incredible. Fresh, incredibly dressed, great bread. All the hits. We sat with strangers from all over and had a great conversation. Place gets busy on ya for sure, but if you don’t want a little line and random fun conversations, then perhaps the best eateries in Nola aren’t for you. Highly recommend for a lunch!

Loved this little place. The waitress was friendly, the cook and a local were talking about life, the tables were clean and the food was great. We had the fried shrimp Po boy, I loved it, my friend said it was decent. It was loaded with shrimp tho so that was nice. The French bread was fresh and delicious. The jambalaya was great too neither one of us could stop eating it.

Best Poboy I have had in the City. I try to eat here every time I am in NOLA. I have tried all of the usual recommended Poboy shops in the city, but Marvin does it better than anyone. Him and his crew represent the vibe of this area. Never had anyone, that I recommended this place to, disagree with me.

I suggest grabbing it to go and head to Audubon Park down the street. Poboy under the oaks in the park can’t be beat.

Best po boy i ever had!l hands down!!

We were trying to decide between guys and demilise but after reading some google and yelp reviews I decided to go with guys and I’m so glad we did!

We couldn’t decide between fried shrimp and grilled shrimp, the staff there were very kind to offer us half & half so we get to try both. We got so so much shrimp,so tender and fresh and the sauce is just on point.

We slightly prefer the fried one over grilled but both are super delicious. I love that the fried shrimp is only slightly battered so not greasy at all and you can taste how fresh the shrimps are.

So glad we stopped by here on our last day in NOLA and for amazing food and service, we’ll definitely be back next time we’re visiting!

If you’re visiting NOLA & want to try an old time neighborhood poboy shop, come here. Simple little menu & Great poboys. They have just 6 tables so it’s homey. The owners are cooking & they’re sweethearts. All the poboys are good but I love the fried shrimp – crispy fresh gulf seafood, get it dressed and add a healthy dose of hotsauce. And the naked (no dressings) roast beef with gravy – sloppy & delicious!

The po-boy was nothing to write home about. I had my expectations too high I guess. Very dry and the bread was chewy. The shrimp were not deveined, and it kind of grossed me out. The fries were good.

Had guys today for the first time and I will definitely be back. The fried shrimp was perfectly breaded and you get a lot of shrimp. The roast beef was melt in your mouth and paired well with all of the toppings. The staff is super friendly and they make the place feel like you are going to a friend’s house.

Very small place with a few tables. Ordering was quick but we were there at an off peak time. Service was friendly.

We tried the fried shrimp poboy and oh man was it delicious and had a great flavor! The hot sauce adds that freshness needed to brighten up the bread and fried shrimp. The fried shrimp were perfectly coated and cooked.

The small here was the size of a large at another well open poboy place. This is a great value!

Bottled drinks only and Zappa chips, the voodoo flavor are my favorite.

Marv makes the best po-boys. We’ve eaten all over Nola and can’t believe we’ve missed out on Guy’s. The grilled shrimp was buttery and delicious. The fried shrimp were crunchy and piled high. The iced tea is amazing and the bread pudding left me begging for more. The stop at Guy’s made the 7hr drive worth every minute.
