Our story began in 2008 inside a 160sq ft drive – thru in Beaverton, Oregon. Founded by family, rooted in hospitality, and driven by a desire to bring light to the grey PNW mornings, we set out to build something simple but meaningful – a place where coffee could fuel connection.

I just went through the drive-through of the location on Dysart and Thomas and the gentleman working. The drive-through was extremely rude. Seemed as though he had no customer service skills or emotional regulation. It was 11:15 I ordered a large iced caramel Blondie with half-and-half. I was waiting at the order screen for a little while till car started stacking up behind me so I said politely “hello” And quickly, I get a snap back with that “I’ll be with you in a minute”, a minute goes by then he said “go ahead” I proceed to tell him my order which I come and get every single day of the week. He says “pull forward” with an annoyed voice. I get to the window and he’s just staring at his computer. Eventually He asked me if I have a phone number. I proceed to tell him my phone number hand in my cash. Tell him I don’t need any change. Thank you. I then asked him his name and he proceeds to tell me it was Pablo. I don’t know if that was his name, but that’s the name he told me. When my drink arrived from the barista and back of him, he grabbed my drink and walked somewhere where I couldn’t see him for like 30 seconds then comes back and gives me my coffee. No have a good day. Literally crickets. I usually don’t have any issues at this black rock I’ve been coming here for years, but that gentleman was completely rude and shouldn’t be in customer service if He’s going to get offended over someone saying hello when they’ve been waiting at the order screen. Usually, the team will say we’ll be right with you and proceed to be polite, but not this guy. Hopefully management has a talk with him about his attitude or replace him with someone with a better one

BlackRock is often our Go-To for our everyday caffeine rush! We frequent many coffee shops and honestly it can be very hit or miss in terms of overall quality. BlackRock however has not disappointed us and their Rewards program is one of the best I’ve ever signed up for. Points are accumulated very fairly and they often have new flavor creations to try! Next time you or someone you love is getting cranky for that morning or afternoon boost; swing by and definitely sign up for rewards!

They handed my coffee dripping all over me I asked for napkins and the girl at the window turns around ask all her busy employees and turns over and says no as I see the coffee spilling. I drove off cause there was a line and didn’t want to make a big deal but with every turn I took and stop the coffee was dripping all over MY BRAND NEW CAR! This isn’t the first or second time happening where they hand me a coffee and the lid isn’t up to par WHERE IT OPENS OR SPILLS!

I got a 16oz drip coffee and an egg sandwich and left a $1 tip. Sandwich, excellent. Coffee was luke warm, unfortunately, but I drank some of it as I didnt wanna just waste it. Hour-ish later, I kindly ask for a refill and informed them that my original cup of coffee wasnt hot to begin with and that hopefully this cup is hot, and pointed out to only refill my cup about 8oz as I was just finishing some work – I got an apology while being charged another $4. Ok cool, no refill price for coffee. Ok cool, luke warm drip coffee happens. I never ask for anything free, I’ll pay for what I want, but paying 2x for potentially sub-par drip coffee was not on my bingo card today. I feel bad for even posting this bc who even cares, right?? But it happened how it happened and this Google review is a direct result.

I stopped by today during their Teacher/Student/Staff Day, so it was understandably super busy. There were only a few girls working, and even though their lines were long and the wait took a bit, they stayed really kind, patient, and tried their best to accommodate everyone. I could tell they were working hard despite being short-staffed, and I really appreciate their positive attitude under pressure.
Honestly, people need to be more understanding. If you’re in a rush, maybe don’t choose the busiest coffee shop at the busiest time? pick somewhere else or come back later. They don’t deserve customers giving them a hard time when they’re clearly trying their best. Big shoutout to the staff for staying kind and patient through the chaos!

It seemed like there was only two girls working, and they did not seem to be in a rush to get orders out. When I finally got my drink, my name wasn’t even called. They just placed it by the register with no sticker even identifying the drink. I could have easily grabbed someone else’s drink. Then a third girl came out the back who also didn’t seem in a rush even though they had a drive thru line and customers inside.

Went to this location Sunday morning— the person taking our order was very friendly and helpful with menu knowledge. We ended up ordering 2 coffees a breakfast sandwich and pastry. The quality of both food items was unfortunately inedible. Coffee cake was stale and bacon sand-which was burnt. The coffee was heavily watered down, the quality was disappointing. The atmosphere was nice and establishment was clean. Overall go for meeting company, lower standards on food and drinks :/ They did have enticing tea selections.

Selling hot coffee with no lid is dangerous and completely irresponsible. How is a customer supposed to drink hot coffee while driving without a lid?
I didn’t even get to drink the coffee I paid for. The woman working there did not apologize and did not proactively offer a refund, which was extremely disappointing.
This goes beyond poor service—it’s a serious safety issue. I will be disputing the charge with my bank and filing a complaint.
