Good restaurant for sure but I wouldn’t say that it’s my fav shawarma restaurant. The food tasted just okay for my taste. As someone who grew up in the Middle East, I’ve eaten more authentic shawarmas and I didn’t think this met up to the par.
They do taste good for what they offer and it’s cooked well but definitely can be better.
The exterior makes you feel like this restaurant isn’t good but it’s not bad for sure.

I used to frequent this restaurant often when I worked nearby but now it’s a bit of a commute so it’s been a couple of years since I’ve visited. I had business downtown and decided to visit. Well, it’s gotten even better. Absolutely fresh and delicious food! We ordered 2 combinations for one with different sides. The heart-shaped falafel was impressive and a nice touch. Needless to say, I will make to commute downtown for this gem. It’s so worth it!

We were able to get catering on a weekend during Ramadan for 20 people and Wafaa and Mike’s cafe accommodated us beautifully! We selected the food, took suggestions, got clear quotes, and then picked up the food just before the party. It was the perfect amount, and everyone loved it. We got a salad, chicken shawarma, kibbeh, baba ganoush, falafel (loved that they were heart shaped!), and tzatziki. Everything was a hit and I can’t decide what was my favorite- it was all so good and such a seamless ordering and pick up process.

I would truly consider this place a hidden gem. It’s kind of off the beaten path, quaint and small but the food is phenomenal. We tried the chicken skewers with rice and the falafel wrap entrees and they were great! The real stunner is the baklava. I bought two and ate them both, neither lasting long enough for a picture. So so good!

Waffa & Mike’s Café – Jacksonville, FL
Waffa & Mike’s Café is an excellent place to grab lunch. We go here pretty often, and it never disappoints.
My favorite is the beef shawarma platter with baba ganoush and grilled bread. The food always tastes incredibly fresh and healthy. The service is fast and very friendly, which makes the whole experience even better.
Highly recommended if you’re in the area and looking for something delicious and satisfying.

One of my favorite restaurants in Jacksonville period. The owner, Mike, knows how to cook and treat his customers as family. The muhamara is the best youll ever have and everything you try will have you coming back for future visits.

Just perfect. The food here is amazing. I highly recommend everything on the menu, but a must have is the lamb burger. Hands down the best burger I’ve had in Jacksonville.

The food is so good, especially the special family recipe, Wafaa Shawarma. Love the family atmosphere, feels like my cousin’s in the kitchen whipping up my favorite dish just the way I like it! It was so delicious I forgot to take a picture next time
