Not a bad spot if you’re kraving BBQ. My understanding this place is pretty new. Opened up very recently. Food was good. The pickles were awesome but I do appreciate the atmosphere and the customer service. I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Amazing Velveeta mac and cheese, we had them sub beef for $1 more, well liked by all. Super creamy, jalepeños, bacon!!!The owners and our cashier were both kind and friendly. The special Dino Rib looked amazing! After we ordered, saw a two pound beef rib, we’ll be back and hopefully they will have that special again… Best road food on the trip from Austin to Oregon! Nice grassy lawn to picnic with babies as well.

Awesome to have a BBQ place in town. Loved the vibe inside and the food matched it. Loaded Mac & cheese delivered as did the pulled pork sandwich. My wife liked the potato salad and the fries were perfectly seasoned. Definitely will be back to try more meats and sides. I’ll be adding this to my Elko rotation. This place deserves to be downtown.

First time in and it was delicious. They just opened this week and they have a bit of limited dinner menu, so we’re hoping they have more meal options and bundles in the future. But the food is so good and I’m so happy to have a BBQ joint here again, we’ll definitely be back.

Excellent authentic BBQ restaurant. We have tried the mac and cheese, brisket, pulled pork, and the burger – all are very good and plated in an appealing fashion. We also love the homemade spicy pickles! The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly, this is a great addition to Elko.

I went for lunch because it is close to where I work and I drive past it almost every day. I ordered the smokehouse burger and got a side of baked beans. The burger was fantastic! The textures and flavors were so perfect. The burger was way bigger than I expected. I was full the rest of the day.
The staff were very friendly and attentive and they got my food ready quickly.
Lower rating on the atmosphere only because the place is new and not very busy (I was the only one there for 10 of the 15 minutes I was there), but with the quality of the food I’m sure that will improve quickly.
There’s several things on the menu that I’m really excited to try now. I’ll definitely be back soon!

The owners Marc & Shasta are two of the best peopleI have ever encountered. Marc has had a vision from day 1 and it has been incredible to see it evolve into what it is now. I first went to the Iron Pig BBQ food truck serving up exceptional BBQ to the Elko community with pulled pork, pork & beef ribs, loaded Mac & cheese & other specialty items. The family took a leap and started a restaurant in Elko which is the only BBQ made in the area. The food is incredible with soul BBQ from the heart but even better is the type of people they are. They genuinely care about each meal that is prepared and give attention to detail to each person who walks through their door. It is refreshing to see a business with such customer service and customer appreciation that Marc, Shasta & the crew at Iron Pig brings to their business.I would recommend Iron Pig at the highest regard. If you are passing through Elko or a local in the Elko/ Spring Creek surrounding area give Iron Pig a call for a lunch, dinner or catering event. The care they take in their business is inspiring to see.

Two words ; “pleasantly surprised”. That describes my experience at this establishment. I was in a mood for some BBQ. I travel a lot and had bbq all the way from the Carolina’s , Georgia , Missouri , Texas and always the consistently disappointing ones in California. I am biased to pulled pork and traveling through Nevada I came across the “Iron pig”. It is a small family run operation. Mark , the patriarch , was extremely friendly and attentive , despite being busy with setting up a party.
I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and then Mark suggested I try the “ Sope” as well. See the picture. It is his own invention that puts a western spin into the pulled pork. The base is a thick corn tortilla , almost like a “pupusas” consistency , a traditionally Honduras and El Salvador tortilla without the traditional stuffing. On top he has the pulled pork with green onions , herbs , some shredded lettuce and a spicy vinegar based sauce ( I believe) along a white sauce too. Delicious with the pork ribs on the side.
Mark mentioned his chef experience and travel through out the south. He knew a lot of the BBQs places that I visited in Texas and we compared notes. He has done his homework. Eventually he will open a sit down restaurant, it’s in the works. In the meantime , visit this fixed food truck location and you will not forget the food nor the hospitality of this family run restaurant.

This is not a normal BBQ joint, its a BBQ infusion. I ordered the pig lee sandwich and it did not disappoint. The patty was bigger than the bun. The sauce, pickles, and kimchi is a perfect combination!

They were sold out of the smoked turkey and chicken, so I ordered the 1/2 lb pulled pork with their gold sauce (mustard), 12 ribs, 1/2 lb pork belly, a double coleslaw (8 oz) and a double chicharones (8 oz)…. The ribs were ok, drizzled with bbq sauce and dry. The pulled pork was nothing to write home about. The pork belly was good just not crispy. The coleslaw weighed in at 5 oz, and the chicharones mind you were not even homemade for what they charged. And weighed in at a whopping 1 oz… they were store bought and extremely lacking.
