While driving through Iowa, we wanted to stop for coffee. Boxcar’s Cafe in Hoosiers was a great choice!
We got a cup of coffee to go along with a freshly baked cinnamon roll and we were helped by 2 lovely women.

Exactly what I look for when I try to dine quiet. Friendly waitress and excellent food. There’s no fast food places around, and this food is better and costs less. I had the BLT and fries with a salad. And it did not disappoint! Their bacon actually tastes like bacon, unlike so many other places I’ve visited.

Took a run to Sheldon IA in late November after Thanksgiving. Found this little cafe south of town and gave it a shot for breakfast. The omelettes tasted great with a good size portion, prices were very cheap and reasonable. Great little cafe with a friendly, attentive staff and well maintained and cleaned so definitely small but not a hole in the wall little cafe to enjoy breakfast or lunch with really good food and excellent, reasonable prices!!
