This was nicest and friendliest Waffle House we’ve been to. Our waiter was great and the cook made a lovely plate hot & fresh!! It was a long day and they finished it off with a high note!!

The grits were lumpy. We asked for new grits. The cook stated she wasn’t cooking anymore and that they could add water to them. I watched the server drop the to go cups on the floor then place them at the counter to use. I stated I did not want a cup that fell on the floor. He stated that he got new cups and I told him yeah I know you went to get new cups and then you dropped them on the floor. I went to leave and the server and cook stated I hate when people complain like those folks right there. NASTY

I’ve been to many Waffle House locations and always order the same meal and order with the same wording. I order “A grilled cheese on Texas toast, a double hash brown, and a side of bacon.” Hundreds of times without ever having a mistake, it has come out as ordered with the bacon on a side plate. My experience on 11/6/24 at 8:00pm was different, they put the bacon on the grilled cheese. The mistake was fine and I somewhat can see how the mistake was made but I asked if they would make another(especially considering that I specifically say I want a side of bacon rather than a bacon grilled cheese). They took it back and I apologized for being difficult and thanked them. Just to hear the cook complaining about having to fix it and said “I’m not remaking it, I’m just going to pull the bacon off and send it back out with fresh bacon. The sandwich was absolutely disgusting and I couldn’t eat it. The cook seemed to be in a rush just to go sit in her car on her phone and smoke cigarettes. The server was nice and good, but the cook seemed like she did not care whatsoever and was mad I sent back an order that she messed up.

I do not like driving in the dark but I tend to wake up super early. So instead of worrying about hitting a deer at highway speed, I pulled into this Waffle House and dawdled over breakfast.
The restaurant was cold enough that I could consider it freezing. Enough so that I had to pop back out to the van and get my hoodie. Ouch.
Great service from Rianna who was unable to solve the temperature issue but was otherwise very helpful with taking my order and ensuring that my coffee cup was never empty. Hash brown bowl with ham and eggs and cheese. Quite filling and I could see it being made from my seat.
I miss the Waffle House salsa and wish they’d bring that back. Until then, I have my own portable hot sauce.

Our daughter loves Waffle House!! When we travel we try to visit at least one location that we’ve never been to. New Albany location off the interstate was wonderful to us and our little girl. They made her a butterfly waffle, were extremely hospitable, even with what seemed to be a slight rush, and even took a quick second to take a photo with her!! It’s the little things that matter to children and this crew gets it! Thank you WH!!!!
