Thanks Carter’s, for your soul food and BBQ with a smile. Speedy service. Hefty portions. Daily specials. Photo is of the daily special, bought at suppertime. Entree, two sides, and bread for $7.95. Really, it is supper + lunch the next day! Large selection. Many choices. Just look at all those sides and desserts! Family friendly place. Eat indoors or outdoors, or go through the drive-thru. The best part is the very big servings, plenty to eat. Locals. Well-known establishment. Part of the Mulberry community for years, but updated menu and outdoor seating. Located right off of Hwy 60, by Ace Hardware.

I have never made a review before ever in my life but i actually cried as a grown man because of how horrible the food was in all i paid 80ish dollars for the food it was absolutely horrendous mac was terrible kraft has more flavor the yams were absolutely disgusting chicken had no flavor and the chopped beef was extremely disappointing i would NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN if you are thinking about eating here dont the food has no FLAVOR i could literally go on and on about the food but im sure you get the picture

BEST RIBS EVER!!! I am not playing. If you are even wondering about this place, you need to just go and try. The mustard BBQ sauce and regular are both delicious! I got mine on the side so I could try both, but you can have them slathered in that sauce. You will not regret it. There is a beautiful indoor and outdoor seating area where you can enjoy your meal!

Great thin end ribs. They are like a crispy almost jerky like texture to the bark while also tender meat. The spicy mustard bbq sauce is excellent and the sides are decent. A great Florida bbq location that has been around for years. It looks like they are finishing up a dining room area which will be a nice addition as there is only minimal outside seating.

Long story short almost a year ago. I left a bad review for this establishment rightfully so. Said I would never eat there again. Made the mistake just now of wondering if anything has changed and stopping by. Maybe they just had an off day or what have you. The same gentleman from the last bad experience immediately open the window instead of asking me what I wanted to order, proceeded to try to chastise me about my review from over a year ago. Obviously, he hasn’t learned anything or cares about the success of the business so instead of going back-and-forth, I told him to just forget it and I left. A little bit of advice to him and the owners. From what I’m saying, my comment isn’t the only one like that in your review section so maybe instead of repeating the same behaviors that give you the bad impressions, you should try correcting bad behaviors.. Now one thing that stood out to me was him saying I could’ve talked to him instead of leaving a bad review because I’m black and I shouldn’t talk bad about black businesses… I replied I did he cut me off and said I didn’t so what I’m going to do now is download my dash cam video post this to all the local groups, YouTube and Facebook along with audio from the original interaction. And people can make up their own mind on how Carter’s barbecue trace their customers who tried to support them when they are undeserving..

I decided about 2 years ago the food is not flavorful and for the money I will go elsewhere. Today, I decided to walk next door and get my Sweet Thang lunch. After giving my order, the lady went to the back, came back with a tray of containers, and MICROWAVED THE ENTIRE MEAL! DONE, NEVER AGAIN!

This place used to be the best in Polk County. Not anymore!! I don’t know what they think a sandwich is but if we had bitten down into these we would have choked! This is not a sandwich, although that is what we ordered! A wing in a sandwich!?!? Ribs bones and some other free floating bones throughout the sandwich!?!? Bread is store bought loaf bread! Can’t get any cheaper than that!?!?! The pulled pork sandwich came like a normal sandwich but it is drowning in BBQ sauce because the meat is extremely tough, dry and inedible!! The meat looks grey! We are disgusted!! This really could have hurt someone!! It’s really disappointing because they used to be THE best! $50 down the drain!!!! I’m hungry
