*I’m coming back to edit my original review. I’ve since revisited Rosewater after they’ve revised some menu items. The changes they made, made a huge difference in the quality of the meal! The Brussels sprouts were phenomenal the second time around. The steak was cooked to perfection and there is a new desert, an olive oil cake, that is one of the best deserts I’ve had in Raleigh. I would go back just for that cake! Thanks for a delicious meal Rosewater.

I recently visited Rosewater for the first time with some colleagues. The restaurant is very beautiful and the ambiance incredible. Our server was kind and helpful. Most of the food was really over saturated in sauces and the flavors were overpowering and not very enjoyable. I ordered the lamb and it was cooked perfectly and tasted good. We ordered the octopus and brussel sprouts for the table and the octopus was chewy and fishy tasting as opposed to buttery and mellow and the sprouts were soaking in sauce that was sour tasting and took away from the flavor of the brussel sprouts entirely. The trofie was good and the Mac n cheese was decadent and smoky. Overall I wouldn’t dine there again and I think there’s far better food in the area and was pretty disappointed because Rosewater is truly idyllic for a nice night out or a romantic date night. Also parking in North hills is a nightmare on a weekend night. Make sure the parking deck you choose doesn’t require validation. Don’t even bother with the parking deck over the grocery store.

I finally made it here after years of it being on my radar. We had a lovely and personable waiter, wonderful cocktails and a delicious dinner. The place is super cute with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I had the duck breast and cherries which was amazing. I’ll be back.

First time visiting. The food was delicious, specially the Breakfast Rissotto. Our server Hunter was very friendly and attentive. It was a little loud. She had to repeat herself a few times and apologized for the loudness; of course, it was a full house, so no apologies needed it. We understood, but we appreciated her attention. We’re looking forward to the Greek Wine Dinner in August.

A unique space which invites the outdoors in and offers al fresco dining with intimate place settings and a welcoming staff. Really glad they allow for table reservations. We had great service and personalized recommendations on drinks, appetizers and entrees. All our food was flavorful. Their menu changes seasonally so we will definitely be back to try more dishes!

For $378.34, a couple might expect a very special Valentine’s Day experience. IT WAS NOT. We were excited to try Rosewater, but from the moment we sat down (on wobbly, worn out wooden chairs) and a woman was talking on speaker phone next to us on high volume, we knew it was going to be a long night! The Valentine’s fixed menu started with oysters with consistency of chewing gum coated in pepper, and the salad seemed to be assembled by elementary school kids. The sea bass, though minuscule, was actually delicious. The mousse for dessert was so thick we couldn’t finish it. I ordered a rum cocktail served in a glass so sticky I had to go wash my hand. Service was spotty. Drinks came late. Salad was served with a soup spoon. The bill was dropped on our table before we even finished dessert (after seeing the bill amount, perhaps that’s why we couldn’t finish dessert). The experience felt like “How can we extract as much cash as possible from couples on Valentine’s while providing the absolute least value we can?” Maybe we’ll try Rosewater again, maybe not.

Horrible. I went to this restaurant for the Valentine’s Day French cuisine meal special. The food was terrible. I ordered the duck confit. It consisted of about two or three shreds of supposed duck. The pasta served with it was really flat pastry that you can get from a grocery store to make chicken pastry. And it wasn’t even cooked long enough to be tender. My wife got as an appetizer mushroom bread. The mushrooms were dry and the bread was so tough. It was not edible. The crab soup was not very good. My wife got the steak Diane. instead of being pan seared it was chargrilled. It was supposed to be medium rare, but since it was chargrilled, the outer layers were chewy and had an unseasoned char taste. I also returned the duck dish and got the steak. It was prepared the same way, chargrilled. It was cooked better, but that dish is not supposed to be char grilled. The cost with the 20% gratuity ($46 cosisting of waitress pouring water) was near $300.I had heard good things about it. I wouldn’t recommend this to a homeless person. Also, the manager refused to comp anything and said she would send me coupons for appetizers in the future. That does absolutely nothing because I will never go back to this place. And the cook was a young man wearing a ball cap with man bun out the back and a T-shirt. Hardly what I expected to be making authentic French cuisine.

10 out of 10. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Hannah, the manager, arranged for our party of 17 to dine for a holiday reunion. From start to finish, drinks, appetizers, mains, appetizers, shareable sides, desserts. Everything was delectable, the chefs are outstanding. The wait staff was so attentive, accommodating, and warm. Megan L. & Mary N.took exceptional care of us. We wanted for nothing. Also, the decor in this restaurant is beautiful; it makes you feel as if you are on vacation in a very special locale. Everyone in our party was grateful that I chose The Rosewater Kitchen and Bar. I am grateful that The Rosewater lived up to and exceeded my hopes because of its fine staff. Thank you!

Everything was amazing!!! We’re from Wake Forest and are frequent visitors of Farm Table and Gatehouse Tavern. The second we saw that Rosewater Kitchen was owned by the same people, we knew we had to try it. Delicious food, wonderful service, and great atmosphere.
