Finding a truly exceptional local bakery like this feels like discovering a unicorn. This family-owned business went above and beyond by graciously taking a custom order of French macaron cookies, and the results were nothing short of exquisite. Every macaron was delicate, beautifully crafted, and clearly made with deep respect for the art.
Their homemade croissants deserve special recognition—flaky, buttery, and perfectly balanced, the kind that transports you straight to a Parisian café. We went to Westminster for a wedding and stumbled upon this little treasure! The coffee “faux mocha” (half coffee, half hot chocolate) and the smoked salmon egg biscuits (on sweet potato) were fantastic. The atmosphere was adorable, and they had this unique display board that flips to show different messages every few minutes—so clever! We have lived Jeannie Bird since it opened and never minded coming to Westminster from Towson. Jb was our treat. Now, we planned to stop en route to Baltimore from Gettysburg. JeannieBird feels like home. The service is always amazing and the food is fantastic! Bernie does a fabulous job choosing unique wines. If you’ve ever watched Gilmore Girls, that’s the vibe at Jeanniebird (but better!) It feels like everyone knows each other – and if you’re new to town, you’ll be welcomed in with open arms. My go-to is the bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain croissant with aioli. Their side salad is so fresh and the dressing is DELICIOUS. All of their bakery items are fresh and taste amazing. Coconut macaroons, jam-filled biscuits, chocolate mousse cups – and so much more. Jeanniebird is the best!!!

We have come here numerous times and have never been disappointed. Not only can you have the freshest baked goods, but you can watch as they make them. Freshly baked croissants, danish, quiches, desserts all prepared before your eyes. We haven’t been here for the evening wine dinners but I can see that will be something we’ll want to do soon.

The coffee and pastries here as well as the soups. I haven’t had any of the sandwiches yet, but I’m sure they are just as good. The only issue is that it is rather small, so you may find it very busy during peak times and difficult to find a seat or hold a conversation. Also note that they have an interesting if small selection of diverse wines for purchase to take home.

Wonderful atmosphere and incredibly pleasant staff. Busy, which was nice. The desserts/breakfast in the glass case looked amazing! I wish I had gotten one of those. The salmon/biscuit sandwich wasn’t my favorite, but that’s my own fault! I’ll get the quiche next time!

Sitting in the window enjoying our tea and singing Christmas carols while having the BEST pastries and croissants was the way to spend a morning! My sister is OBSESSED and her husband has made a note. If my daughter’s ballet recital is up the road again we WILL be coming back. The servers this day were also the BEST! We hope that the Bostonian makes it home for the holidays OK. Thank you so much for a wonderful bakery/coffee house experience!

Wanted to leave a quick review, which is not something I usually do. I’ve been wanting to try Jeanniebird’s for quite a while but I start work usually before they open. Finally I got around to it and I was beyond pleased. It surpassed my expectations- truly. I ordered an iced coffee and the “McDaniel” sandwich. Absolutely best “little shop on the corner” sandwich I think I have ever had. Thank you! Staff was really friendly. Shop is super cozy.
