This is one of the best restaurants in PA. It’s nice to have a local place that cares about their food. I believe all their food is homemade, and very good.

Food

Samosas: Pretty solid, I prefer I larger samosa which more filling and spices

Lamb Biryani: Really tasty, I recommend you try this

Chana masala: One of our favourites here

Chicken korma: Pretty solid if you are looking to try something new. It’s a bit more mild in favour but that’s how they advertise it and it’s still delicious

Beef Vindaloo: A really tasty beef dish, worth a try.

Chicken Tikka Masala & Butter Chicken: we didn’t order these this time, but I wanted to mention we’ve tried them here before and they are great.

Bullet Naan: I love the bullet naan, it’s spicy for-sure. But not unbearable.

Naan: amazing

Service

Their service is solid, you can tell they care and are proud of the food they serve.

Atmosphere

It’s a nice atmosphere!

Wishing their business all the success!

We ordered Chicken Biryani and Mutton Curry with naan. The Chicken Biryani was okay, and the portion size was generous. However, I was truly disappointed with the Mutton Curry, which cost $20 — it only had three pieces of mutton, with lots of potatoes and gravy. Really disappointing, especially considering the prices are much higher than other Indian restaurants that look more high-end.

The place does give off a traditional Indian ambience with all the curtains and décor, but it actually felt a bit dull, almost like being in an old, forgotten Indian mansion. The only positive was the waitress — she was genuinely nice and attentive.

Not going again.

I was getting into town late. On the roads from NW Alberta 13 hours away on my way to northern Manitoba for work. Stopped overnight in Prince Albert. Cold and hungry.

I looked online and part way through looking at the menu I knew this was the place for me. I called to see if they delivered and luckily she agreed. I ordered around $90 worth of food as I know I wanted left overs for the next day. Was worth EVERY penny. The Tandoori sampler was so good but my favourite was the lamb curry and the garlic naan. Home made and such rich flavour. The fish pakora and the sauce for it were excellent! Plenty of leftovers for my friend and I the next night due to the large serving size. I was grateful for that.

I’m sorry I forgot the very nice ladies name that took my order and also delivered my food to me. She was very kind to a stranger and that meant a lot as did the amazing food. Real soul food. Thank you for being awesome and having a great small family business. EVERY time I stop in PA moving forward, I know where my food is coming from.

Five-star experience at The Spice Trail! I had a group of 10 and they took care of everything. They recommended the menu, accommodated all our dietary needs, and the food was delicious. Exceptional service and a total ‘above and beyond’ vibe. Will definitely be back!

We’ve been here many times and its always delicious! We love all the vegan options and ability to choose the spice level. The service is beyond excellent. We’ll be back again soon. This time we had the garlic cauliflower, chillas, pakoras, and bhindi masela. Everything was savoury and fresh.

The best Indian food in Prince Albert and the owner is a lovely person. I encourage all who share the love of East Indian cuisine to try The Spice Trail. You will not regret it! We had the tandoori sizzler and shrimp korma, was delicious as usual. Oh and of course we had garlic naan too, num!

I honestly don’t know where to start this was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was cold, tasteless, and looked like it had been sitting out for hours. I’ve had instant noodles at 3 a.m. that tasted better.

The service? Non-existent. We waited forever just to get water, and when the food finally arrived, half of it was wrong and the other half was barely edible. The staff seemed completely uninterested, and nobody cared to fix anything.

6 stars if I could. I’ve never been to an Indian restaurant before, and this place definitely was the spot to make my first experience. Thank you for your wonderful service, food and welcoming atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back already.

We ate vegetarian food including paneer kathi roll, soy tikka masala, tandoori roti, mint chutney, onion salad, gajar ka halwa. It was delicious. The spiciness was according to your choice (mild, medium, high).

Service was amazing, ambience was nice, staff is very humble.

Overall we spent a very good time and enjoyed the meal.

I would highly recommend this place if you want to taste the cuisine of North India. Thank you!

The booths have curtains around them and the restaurant is decorated in beautiful Indian pieces. The food was amazing and came out so quick. There were many options to choose from. The price was average for an Indian restaurant I would say. I would come back forsure!
