It was my husband’s and my first time dining at the Rumba Bar and Grill. We sat at the open air bar and Genesis was our bartender/server. After answering our questions we decided on a dozen oysters…freshly shucked, and the fisherman’s platter. Genesis was so nice to bring us their homemade mini corn muffins and the house made honey butter to go with the oysters. Everything so fantastic. We ate every morsel. The fisherman’s platter had mahi mahi, scallops and shrimp and it was served with their coleslaw and fries. What a wonderful place. Reasonable too! We took a coconut cake home and we devoured it before I remembered I wanted to take a picture. Genesis was engaging, we talked about traveling and our favorite places to visit and eat. The whole experience was wonderful. We will be back!

Day out with my bestie, we had such a great time thier last year we wanted to revisit again. The only reason for the four star was that, they discontinued the Lobster Roll, we were told last year. It was so delicious we were anticipating to re-order it again, was disappointed.
My friend ordered Carribean Salmon and I had the Ranch Wedge added Salmon. We were both happy with the food, it was nicely cooked and didnt have to wait long.
The service was nice and the price was reasonable.

Overall enjoyed the environment and service are good. The oysters were large Gulf Coast of Texas and were the standard for that type of oyster. I prefer the northern colded water oysters, but these were fine for Gulf oysters. The wings are excellent and I preferred them with buffalo sauce, by special request, versus the two dipping sauces they come with. The wings are certainly worth being on regular rotation if you like wings. And for dessert, the key lime pie was surprisingly fresh and excellent in flavor or texture. It will be hard to not order this as a happy ending each visit.

Rumba was such an unexpected gem—what a true treasure we found tonight. Our waitress, Anna, was awesome from start to finish. Her menu recommendations were spot-on, and she happily answered all of our many questions with patience and enthusiasm. The wings were amazing—highly recommend and honestly could eat those all night long. The burger was a bit over-seasoned for my taste, but Anna mentioned you can request less or none, which I’ll absolutely do next time. While the add-on charge for the crinkle fries didn’t quite hit the mark for us, the overall experience more than made up for it. Great atmosphere, clean restrooms, friendly service, and easily becoming a neighborhood favorite drop-in spot.

We had a large party of 12 for a birthday. We had a great server Annika. She did a good job handling all of us by herself, there were other servers to help bring the food out hot. Prices are reasonable to moderate, particularly if you do 2 for 25, which includes an appetizer and you can split a dessert for 499. We did not do any of their desserts because we had a birthday cake. There were a few appetizers at our table. I had the Mahi mahi bites as an appetizer which were very good. My son had jalapeno peppers.
We had nachos, and my daughter had the firecracker shrimp, which were a very mild spice sauce. Lots of great fish dishes. I had 2 for 25 with my husband I had the Rumba Shrimp pasta, which was very good. The sauce was creamy a bit thick.
Pasta was done slightly past Al. Dente, but that’s okay. My husband had the Filet Kebab, which was very good, came with 2 sides. We opted for the Mexican corn with cochita cheese and the black beans, which were both very good. My son had the Hog fish sandwich, which he says was excellent. My daughter had the flounder stuffed fish which was very good.( quite tasty bute that I had) Our mom and sister both had the salmon which looked nice. My brother had this seafood pasta with jalapenos. On the side you can see in those photos also really like that. They served all of the pasta dishes with the spoon. Kids’ meals were reasonable and large portion. As you see from the kid’s burger. Everything was well presented as you could see in the many photos. We will be back

This was my first time at the St. Pete location, but I have been to the Clearwater location several times. The food and drinks were great! Everyone was happy with their food and drinks. The server was friendly too. My only complaint is that the music got really loud in there. It became hard to hear our dinner companions over the loud music that came on after a bit. We were inside and not at the bar. Nevertheless, I would go back to this location again because it’s less busy and they had some specials on their menu that the Clearwater location doesn’t.

Love this place ! Food is awesome, vibe is great. Management is friendly and always accommodating. Great group of bartenders on staff. Aliyah, Genesis, Katelyn and Maddie all make it a friendly and fun atmosphere. Ana and Calista in the dining room are super nice and attentive. Lots of regulars from the neighborhood. Come enjoy some live music and see what you’re missing !

Another fine visit. This is a great place for Caribbean-inspired dishes. This is our second visit. We had an issue with the service when we first arrived but the staff recovered quickly. The food is very good. We had calamari, chicken nachos and coconut shrimp for appetizers.I had the seafood platter with rice and black beans. Everyone in our party were impressed with the food and enjoyed the service. I highly recommend Rumba Island Bar and Grill in St.Petersburg, Florida.

Most people will review the food first, but no me. I have to tell you that our server, Daniella made our experience one of the best of any restaurant I have been to. Daniella was happy, attentive and quite friendly to my party. There was not one mistake on anything and her suggestions were right on the money. Daniella, if you read this – THANK YOU!
Now for the food, everything was fresh seafood, the calamari appetizer was excellent and the Salmon over seafood stuffing with the parmasean mashed potatoes was just fantastic. My friend also had a Salmon and rice bowl that was excellent and a cup of shrimp bisque that was so tasty.
It was my first time there and I will definately visit again. I you go, ask for Daniella, you won’t be disappointed.
