While the food and prices were decent, the service was very disappointing.
My server (man with glasses and awful curly hair) he’s probably the manager, made it even worse was very abrupt and unfriendly, it negatively impacted my first-time visit.
Customer service makes a big difference, and I hope all guests are treated with equal courtesy moving forward… do better!

Genuinely I do not wanna be mean whatsoever our waiter was very nice other than the fact he tried to make us pay for the playdoh looking meal we got. It was actually disgusting. This is my friends and Is food. This is insane. This doesn’t even look edible. I asked him if the food was supposed to look like this but apparently this is what they consider food

One of my favorite places to enjoy anything Mexican; everything is good too here, even the hamburgers. They used be open late on wknds and I’d go study or eat after being out. I bid it still is, but nonetheless, I recommend it. Try the chicken soup, pozole, menudo, fajitas, green enchiladas, or anything your cravings desire. Enjoy!

3/30/2025, the second time here, and the service sucks my tortilla soup was less then the first time the guy took my menu and gave me unsweetened tea. This would be the last time I eat at this shot hole.

Location on Montwood and Zaragoza was empty for a Sunday morning, but this could become a hidden gem. The food, service and the atmosphere was excellent, it’s not too often you have all 3. If they can remain consistent with food quality and service, they can easily become a staple.

Warning !!!!!! Chewed food !!!!!!!Very frustrating this place is loosing quality. I came here on Saturday Aug 16th. Immediately posting review because I ate here several times 3 months ago ordering same burritos I ordered today so I know exact quality I expect. I got my burrito and it was 4.5 and was as thin as a tea spoon. Then I bit it and got egg shells in my food. And after ordering 5 burritos they gave us one salsa for all five of us. SMH what crap.

I think I’ve tried most of the corrida items. The comida corrida is a good deal for $10 that includes soup, meal, and tea. The tortilla soup was delicious, the mole was very tasty, just wish the chicken hadn’t been too shredded. The chicken tampiquena was very good as well. Tried taco Tuesday, and the fish tacos were good. Tried the breakfast as well, and it was delicious. Tried the fish corrida, the Mexican Plate, and the sirloin tampiqueña and the dishes were all very bland. Missing salt and missing flavor. Was a bit disappointed. The menudo was good but also missing flavor. I think I’ll stick to the tortilla soup. Tried the enmoladas, and they were delicious. The burger was pretty good, too. The green enchiladas and enmoladas were tasty. Keep coming back for the corrida.

Tasty, authentic Mexican food, good service.
Looked for an authentic Mexican spot in the area and found it. Me and my pops tried it out for the first time this morning and the coffee was delicious.
Service was great, there were 3 other tables in addition to ours, on top of the carry-out orders.
Price was reasonable.

My server greeted me very fast with a clean menu at a clean table. This is hard to find for some reason. But this establishment was very clean, and i loved it. I got chips and salsa right after and ordered the skirt steak. It was overcooked but still had a good flavor. I also got the shrimp cocktail, and it was presented very well. I will definitely be coming back to try out some more. I’d come back due to just how well the young gentleman treated my family.
