Great crab cakes! Addison is also very sweet and did a wonderful job. Best in this area of Texas. Although they are slightly pressed, they are still delicious.
The brunch is also amazing. I recommend the filet medallions w/ scrambled eggs.

We hosted our son‘s wedding rehearsal dinner at Porter’s and I was so thrilled with the way the whole evening went. Derek and Ainsley, Porter’s event coordinators, were amazing to work with from the minute we started planning this event. They covered every detail and Ainsley was on hand during the event to coordinate timing and make sure everything ran smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious, the servers were attentive, kind and helpful. Everything was wonderful and I am so grateful!

Our association hosted a dinner for about 20 people in the Rancher Room and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Derek on the event staff helped me make sure every detail was taken care of. The staff was wonderful to work with – organized, accommodating and very friendly. The meal was absolutely delicious and everything was served promptly and with great attention to detail. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and would gladly return for future events. My trip to Porter’s with my girlfriend celebrating Valentine’s Day was exceptional. As college students, we don’t dine at higher end restaurants that often, so tonight was certainly a treat. Our waiter, Sebastian, was a fantastic server! In the categories of accuracy, friendliness, and professionalism, Sebastian knocked it out of the park. He was incredibly personable and was a huge contributor to the overall experience being as great as it was. If you have the opportunity to ask for him as your server, I’d highly recommend you do. The filets were cooked perfectly, the crab cakes were delicious and the strawberry cheesecake was fantastic. We’ll definitely be dining here again for our next celebration.

I’ve been to Porter’s a handful of times, and the food and service have always been wonderful. My husband took me for my birthday lunch today, and it ended up being the highlight of my day. The service was truly exceptional this time around. Our server, Meredith, was an absolute gem! warm, thoughtful, and made me feel genuinely celebrated from the moment she greeted our table.
She wished me a happy birthday nearly every time she stopped by, which made me feel so special. Her kind spirit made a lasting impression. I even received a handwritten birthday card with my dessert, which was such a meaningful and personal touch.
I recently lost my mom less than two months ago, and moments of kindness from others have been helping me through. Meredith’s warmth and care made this birthday feel truly special and comforting.
The food was, as always, delicious. I’m eight months pregnant and had been craving the Brussels sprouts, so happy I got to enjoy them! The cornbread with honey butter was amazing, and the salmon with risotto was cooked to perfection. The chocolate cake was rich and satisfying, and I kept the beautiful orchid from the dessert plate along with my card as a keepsake.

This newly discovered (by me at least) restaurant is so delightful. The food is top tier (best crab cakes I’ve ever tasted!). The old debate is how much variety there is: lots of variety that is hit and miss as to quality of food and its preparation, or a smaller but fairly broad variety, made with the freshest, real made-from-scratch ingredients (no packaged foods!), each cooked to perfection. Personally I prefer the latter. The chef and his staff are diligent in researching which foods might contain a spice allergy, and all the staff are so welcoming and cordial they ought to be training other service staff. They are thoughtful, proactive, quick to see what is needed but not hovering. Our waiter, Cesar, was such a delight! He was caring, he double checked on the allergy with the chef, who himself re-checked food ingredients, and he is so happy that his attention to our needs completely improved and enhanced our meal. I will certainly return.

Came here for a birthday dinner. Really confusing to find the main entrance to this place. We ordered street tacos and cornbread to start. Both were fantastic. I would love the cornbread recipe! My partner had the wagyu chicken fried steak, my mom and Aunt had the salmon platter, and I had the 8oz Fillet. Everyone seemed to enjoy their choice. I ordered my steak medium well and it came out well done and dry. I really did not like any of the steak sauce options, but I went with a peppercorn sauce. It was not really for me. As for the sides, we had macaroni and Brussels sprouts. They were amazing! I would come back just for the mac and cornbread! We tried some sort of banana and ice-cream dessert. I would make a different choice next time around. To finish on a positive note, the margarita was on point!

We’re locals but had not yet made our way to Porter’s. We were so pleasantly surprised by our experience. Our server, Ezekiel, was a delight. He was knowledgeable of the menu, attentive, and personable. We really enjoyed our steaks, and we loved the brussel sprouts and crab cakes. Wine and cocktails were also great. Looking forward to adding this to our rotation of restaurants and recommending the outstanding service to friends in town.

We treated my daughter & her friends to dinner for her birthday and she loved it. Derek, the Events & Catering Director, was so patient and a huge help in planning this special night. Ainsley, the Events Coordinator, kept me informed the whole night & was so sweet. My daughter loved the waitress as well, saying the service was great. Her name was Rachel. Last but not least, my daughter told me everyone loved their food, and she loved her pork chop, mashed potatoes & brussel sprouts. Thank you Porter’s! We’ll be back!
