Visited on a Monday afternoon, had the 3 taco combo (chicken, steak & pork), steak burrito & a horchata. The tacos were delicious as was the burrito (however the burrito was on the smaller side). The horchata was a bit watered down but still good. Overall it was a good experience, the waitress was nice.

My review is exclusive to their carne en su jugo dish. Saw a TT video boasting its deliciousness. Maybe it was a paid review, I thought as that is the sign of the times. Regardless if it was, the dish was the best I ever tasted. Why? Aside from the savory soup, they use high quality steak in it. Not one time did I bite into gummy fat. Meat was tender, just the right amount of beans and fried bacon. Goldilocks would say it is just right. AND it was just the right size serving. No bloated feeling after. Just the yummy aftertaste and satisfied feeling. Thank you.

Beware of potential poison. We bought a green salsa to go with our food. We got sick after eating. Then, when cleaning the container, I noticed there was a silica gel packet inside that read, “Do not eat throw away.” I called the place to make them aware of this, but no one answered. I hope putting silica gels in their salsa is not a regular practice. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

Friendly, clean, unpretentious restaurant. Scrumptious authentic Mexican food. Well seasoned, flavorful menú offerings. Outstanding tacos. I had the pastor (my favorite), carne asada, and chorizo tacos. The dinner included delicious Mexican rice and frijoles.

Ordered some tacos (asada and al pastor) to go for their Taco Tuesday special and they did not disappoint! Excited to try other foods.

I ordered tacos El patron for pick up. when I got home , I unwrapped the greasy foil and I was surprised with tacos El sloppy Joe. It looked nasty I had to toss it . They also added beans to an order I specifically told them not to add. This is the second time they get the order wrong. I hope they get it together. They usually make good food .

The place looks great for what they did to the outside but it’s not enough due to the really bad service here and the not so great food. Ordered the share platter, whatever it was called, and it didn’t even come out hot. Just luke warm. The chicken was so dry it was not edible. Beef was too chewy to eat. I’m pretty sure this food was not made fresh and just reheated. Gross right?

Had to wait for anyone to come to the table to the point we had to query a bus boy who had 3 speeds. Slow, slower, and stop. Had high hopes for this place to be a good neighborhood spot. You know who has great service? Pepe’s down the street.

Stopped for a late lunch on our way home from Midway Airport. What a wonderful surprise!
Three funky, colorful exterior and signage caught our attention so we had to venture in and try their comida
I had 1 carne asada (steak) taco and 1 pescado (fish) taco. They were both very tasty. Fish was actually a portion of a filet, and truly could have used a bit more flavor a a little bigger serving.
We also tried the carne asada (steak) burrito. This, like three taco was super good! Very flavorful and very fresh.
The interior and exterior are lovely and colorful and lots of outdoor space and seating.
We would definitely return if in there area.
Thanks
