With over 20 years in operation, Vernon’s offers a variety of dining options for your consideration. We have in house and off-site catering, individual or party size take out, a full service bar and a nationally award winning wine list. We went here for the first time on Valentines day, and were so glad we did! The place was really busy as to be expected but the service was still on point even with the place being packed! We started with the hot peppers and oil as an appetizer and I would put them in the top 5 in the area and my wife puts them in her top 3. Either way, they were good. They give you an option of soup or salad with your meal, we both chose salad. Their house Italian dressing is good and I’d definitely recommend it. For meals, my wife a a V-day special that was a 6oz filet topped with lobster. It was excellent and the steak melted in your mouth. For her side she got the risotto (sorry no pic), it was cooked perfectly and very tasty. I had the Porcini Sea Bass and the only way we could both describe it was absolutely AMAZING!! It was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. It came on a bed of rice and im not sure what was poured on it but the meal as a whole just went perfectly together. Overall it was a great experience and the staff did excellent for as packed as they were. We will definitely put this on our place we will return to list!

This place is a gem! The food is flavorful and unique. It’s presented with pride. The service is fantastic. We had a large group of 11 (6 kids) and timing was perfect for all courses. Everyone enjoyed their food (and even some of each others’!)

A solid four star+ rating. Good food, the veal/chicken parmesan is a sizable cutlet of meat, not drowned out with piles of unnecessary pasta. Table olive oil seemed almost clear and not a good quality evoo. Price was on the higher side for certain dishes and desserts. Service was good for a group of 8 people, it would probably be better for smaller groups or couples. The atmosphere is nice, casual average dining room. The karaoke style live singer didn’t add much and simple background dinner music would have been nice as well. Pictures include Vernon’s meatballs, veal parmesan and gnocchi with meatball.

What a gem. The food here is fantastic. It’s so fresh and tasty. It’s so unique and trendy here. It’s a must go to. Never disappoints. Had a great family style dinner tonight with our dinner club. We had pheasant that was unbelievable. This is such a great place.

Had an absolutely wonderful time, Vernon never seems to amaze me. His staff was totally awesome and the food top notch. The expresso and chocolate martinis were excellent, Chicken francaise that I had I was very impressed not overly powered lemon flavor it was perfect. One of the best meals I’ve had and the last year and a half and when I say I do reviews I do reviews. Just under 3 million views. Thank you Vernon the calamari was prepared extremely well and not to mention instead of just a marinara he had another sauce not sure exactly what it was I think it was like a saraki sauce or something and it was perfect for the calamari.. I have to add that. Amber was absolutely so positive and really helped today with the passing of my mom. Great place! Great vibes and great food…

• Knowledgeable: Her recommendations were spot-on—she knows the menu inside and out.
• Energy: She has this infectious, positive vibe that honestly leveled up the entire atmosphere of the evening.

Now, the main event. The ramen at Vernon’s is, quite frankly, in a league of its own. I’ve had my fair share of noodles, but this was something special.
• The Broth: Rich, complex, and velvety. You can tell they put hours (maybe days?) of soul into that simmer. It’s the kind of savory depth that makes you want to close your eyes with every sip.
• The Noodles: Perfectly cooked with that satisfying chew that holds onto the broth like a dream.

We had a lovely dinner at Vernon’s while in town visiting family. There are so many Italian options in the area, but Vernon’s is a standout. Our server, Megan, was awesome! I’d ask for her if she’s there. The portions were very fair, fresh bread and olive oil was provided, and my wedding soup that came with the meal was full of flavor. The Squash Pasta special is an explosion of fall in your mouth. You’ll want to save some bread to soak up the sauce. The Drunken Chicken is also an excellent choice. Thank you so much for a memorable family dinner!

We finally made it to ramen night!
The first batch of rolls we got sent to the table were hard and cold. We ordered the fall panzanela kale salad and the naked polpette meat balls as starters. Best salad I’ve had in Youngstown and the meatballs we very good as well! Freshness was next level.
More bread came out that was a bit more fresh (after we asked). We had 4 drinks and 3 of them were made wrong or showed up wrong on the bill. The vodka soda we ordered came back with juice in it and no soda. Twice. But there’s nothing like ordering an expensive whiskey (buffalo trace) and getting something else poured in your glass. It’s very obvious when it’s different I don’t know why people try to do this to customers. This happens to me all the time at restaurants.
My wife got the pork ramen, I got the chicken. It was fun to eat and the broth had great flavor! Noodles were fresh and easy to eat. Would I get that dish again? Probably not. But it was a nice experience. This review may sound negative, but Vernon’s always does a better job than most restaurants in Youngstown. Keep it up guys. We will be back.
