Osito’s Tacos & Tortas is a not your typical Mexican restaurant. We are a restaurant inspired by our family, Southern roots, culinary experiences, and the LOVE of Mexican food especially tacos and tortas. We believe good food comes from the heart and is served with love. The name “Osito” means little bear. It comes from the nickname the kitchen staff gave Chef & Owner Bobby describing his take-charge attitude when working the kitchen line.

It was my first time and I highly recommend giving Ositos a try.
Food presentation, temperature and taste awesome.
Good parking area, easy to find. Good for lunch and a nice dinner.
Though I did not drink any alcoholic beverages, they are available.

Not your traditional taco spot, the spin on southern flavors is unique & flavorful. The staff is super friendly, and the owner always stops to say hi when he sees us. Anytime I have guests visiting, they ask if we are going to Ositos!
I had not stopped by in awhile so I was craving my favorites, the Don Tito & the Miguel. My husband ordered The Osito and the El Hootie.
At this point, I have tried (and loved) everything on the menu. The nachos are customizable with lots of topping options. Tortas are huge. Oh & definitely try the masa fried pickled okra! Just love this place

Service was fast and staff is nice. However, the food was the biggest disappointment! It is definitely not authentic and looks better in pictures than what it actually is. One bite in and we knew it just wasn’t IT! My husband ordered 4 tacos and was only able to eat 1. I too, tried a piece of the taco meat and it was not of my liking. The ingredients didn’t mix well and marinade felt too wet as it could be cooked a bit longer. I myself, ordered a torta de milanesa and was thrown off by the osito sauce. The sauce is like a burger sauce similar to that on a “big mac.” The street corn was ok, but could have been better without so much lime. Not worth the $60.

This place is a gem off of exit 28 on i77 in Cornelius, the quesadilla was the best I ve ever had! Cooked from scratch, Chicken was grilled with a perfect blend of spices, chip and queso were great addition! Wonderful atmosphere, service and owner is so kind! I ll definitely be back for more! Thank you!

Cane here last month with my family! the staff is super friendly and warm. Bobby was more than a pleasure! their bear-rito really blew me away, as well as their el jefe torta, i’m originally from LA, so even if the food isn’t fully authentic Mexican it’s more than perfect.

Discovered this place about three years ago as my classmates and I would hurry over on our lunch break to go indulge in tacos and salsa before finishing our class days. More recently, I have became quite a regular as this is my favorite taco place in the whole Charlotte area. As for atmosphere, it’s always clean, family friendly, the employees are always very helpful with the menu and carry smiles (even with some tougher customers that I’ve witnessed), the owner, a super nice guy who takes pride in his business, is here every time I come. As for service, I’ve never had to wait long for my food after orders. I’ve never had an order wrong. I’ve never had any bad quality food. It’s always been 10/10. As for food, AMAZING. I always enjoy coming after work or when I’m having those taco cravings. I highly suggest ordering the Taco Platter and trying out a couple different ones! My favorite is the A-shorty. I recently have been enjoying their loaded nachos (the best) and their margaritas. I will continue to be a loyal customer here as long as the Charlotte area has me! I hope one day they’ll cater my wedding.
Also for all my bad parkers like myself, there’s plenty of parking! No worries about all that parallel stuff!

This is my favorite taco joint! They do fun and unique specials while keeping authentic flavor. They offer fun N/A options, local beers and traditional Mexican beer. The atmosphere is super cute and clean. They have ample outdoor seating. The service is always friendly and the owner is very hands on. You can tell this restaurant is important to him and his staff. Great spot!

Just moved to the area and we decided to give this place a shot. Definitely not authentic tacos but SO very good! Really big portions and the ingredients were fresh. The service was great too. They are very knowledgeable with food allergies and accommodate well for those who need a few changes to a dish.

The tacos are legit (especially the al pastor and birria), and the margaritas hit that perfect balance of tart and smooth. The staff makes you feel like they’ve known you for years — friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy you’re there.

First time visit and it was wonderful! Great location and close to downtown. No wait and wasn’t packed for Cinco De Mayo. Ordered the nachos and a drink food was ready quick, hot and fresh! Inside dining and outside patio. A must try if you’re in the area.
