Old style yet updated fancy Italian restaurant.

The bread basket is award winning.

The oysters were excellent, so was the sea bream entry.

The lemon cake and the apple cake were both sublime.

Excellent wine selection.

This is a bit of a discovery. An excellent lunch place. Not far from The Frick and the Met and the Neue Gallery. The food is really top class but you will be paying top dollar. A glass of wine is $25-$30. The main courses at lunch will set you back $30-$50. Appreciate it is expensive but above spot in Manhattan.

A pricey establishment for sure but you get an equal quality. The staff were very attentive throughout our dinner. The food portions were large but also delicious. The staff was also incredibly knowledgeable regarding the dishes. I would highly recommend this place for a date or a celebration. My only complaint, if it can even be called one, was the special list was so long I lost track of it after the 7th dish. (Kudos to the waiter for remembering it all)

I loved all the artwork in this restaurant! It’s very beautiful but also quirky. The waiters are so sweet and they really want to make sure you are having a good time, they are really fun and attentive. The food is so good too, I had the fettuccine and asparagus soup. The truffle butter is amazing. And the shouffle is wonderful. The only reason I gave it one less star is because I think it’s way too expensive for the meal but still it was a wonderful experience

The food was very good, but the waitress was incredibly rude and classist. I understand the dress code. After walking so much all afternoon, I was starving. The waitress gave us a dirty look, scrutinized us from head to toe, and made us look at the menu to make sure we had the money to pay. It wasn’t expensive, but it was unpleasant. My family just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.

I asked my waiter what was their more flavorful menu item, their rabbit or their roast suckling pig. He said it was the rabbit, so I ordered the rabbit ($55). I found that it had no flavor whatsoever. Their bread sticks, their various other breads, and their black truffle butter had pleasing tastes. The restaurant’s decor and an extremely nice window view of greenery just outside the restaurant were very pleasing. The restaurant is on 81st Street, very close to 5th Avenue. The service was not as attentive as it should be for the very high food prices they charge, along with a 3% credit card use fee if you choose to use one. The waiters were impressively dressed in blue suits.

I’ve walked by a dozen times and we finally made it. It was amazing. Atmosphere is sophisticated with old world charm. Interior decor has beautiful unique artwork and touches. Cocktails on point. The prosciutto and melon app was so flavorful! Pastas: Busiate & Mafaldine with Nduja were Aces. But the number one favorite standout for me was the veal scaloppine… Next level best I’ve ever had. It’s pricey but worth it for a nice lunch or dinner out. Absolutely recommend and will be back.

Had a wonderful dinner just last week. The food was delicious, presented with elegance. The service was impeccable and with the right degree of friendliness. The atmosphere was, as usual, my favorite cup of tea… white table cloth, sufficient space between tables, and a muted noise level. Yes, it is on the more expensive side, but it’s worth treating yourself!

The bread TRULY is the best bread you’ll ever have, especially paired with the truffle butter . The service is A1.:: the drinks are really good too, at least the first round was, same drink second round was a miss.

I do wish they would offer adding protein to selected pasta dishes, but the menu is the menu and you cannot alter it as you like. That is a bummer. Good place overall.

Dined Sistina today for a special occasion meal. We’ve wanted to try this restaurant for a while now, and our first visit lived up to everyone’s expectations! Every dish we had today was fantastic, the service was outstanding, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. We ate in the main dining room but thought the bar area looked very nice too for more of a casual but still sophisticated dining experience.

While expensive, we’ll definitely be returning to Sistina. This is one of the nicest restaurants on the Upper East or West Side of Manhattan. We all highly recommend it here!
