Delicious food, great service, and, a tasteful decoration. I have had their bowls, romen noodles, and soups. All excellent!
This place stands out in Gloversville as one of the few upscale eateries.
The furnishing and decoration align with upscale New England cafe’s.
The prices are are a little bit high for the area, but well worth it for the expertly prepared, and healthy food.
Also it had a very cool antique stained glass archway inside the entrance.

Today I found a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Gloversville so, I stepped inside for a spell. This is a magical place✨Their menu is unlike any other dining experience you will find in this neck of the woods. I had a delicious cup of cream soup w/ a side of mini croutons & a giant wrap w/ a side of Mac salad.
The staff & owner were delightful down to earth people to chat with & the atmosphere
✨ ✨stellar
LOVE IT!
I’m looking forward to warmer months when the sun is shining, and their bistro tables are outside so,
I can enjoy a peaceful brunch in the heart of town. Thank you
Blessings into eternity, Misty ✨ ✨

What a gem! The menu is unique – plenty to choose from whether you’re a flesh eater or vegetarian. Sandwiches are chock full of delicious veggies. I couldn’t believe how yummy the tomatoes were despite it being winter in upstate NY. I ordered De Sandwich, and my husband selected the Cuban. Two bites in and we were plotting our next visit.

Mindblown. Just spent my early Thursday evening looking for good new food and hit the jackpot! What was apparently a saloon nearly 150 years ago has turned into a very well-remodelled healthy restaurant with very friendly/welcoming staff as well. The food is very good and I’ll certainly be back soon.
Update: Already returned like 5 times with NO regrets!

A gem of a restaurant in downtown Gloversville. The food was fresh, healthy and delicious. Great coffee, great atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is in a historic Victorian building that has been lovingly restored. There is even a beautiful outdoor patio off the back!

My co-worker and I have spent every single opportunity we have had at Sage & Cedar sense their Grand Opening. We have the pleasure of working at CAPTAIN a block away so we choose to spend our lunch there everyday. The food is amazing, the portions are great, prices are wonderful, and whoever did the interior design of this place, KUDOS to them. The place is absolutely beautiful. The restaurant offers soft lighting, calming music, beautiful seating, unique decor, etc. It feels calm and cozy. They have very aesthetic, outdoor seating, and a back entrance. The employees are seriously the sweetest and nicest human beings. I can’t praise the restaurant and their employees enough let alone the wonderful food they offer. It is becoming a staple in our area!

Wonderful place, so gorgeous inside and the food is so delicious! I love that they take pride in using local ingredients and team with local businesses. Definitely recommend for a food lunch spot! I got a build your own bowl with grilled chicken, rice, cucumbers, grilled corn, goat cheese, chickpeas and green goddess dressing ~$16 and very filling

I’ve only been here about 2-3 times and the staff are very kind and welcoming. I love that they do soup of the week as it gives you a chance to try something new and exciting instead of recycling the same thing (chicken noodle, tomato, or french onion soup). They have great options for vegetarians and vegans! I’m a vegetarian and it’s hard finding places that offer options than just a salad. I wish they did matcha drinks like the Mohawk Harvest. My only suggestion is changing/extending their hours. They open at 11:30am and close at 3pm so if you get out of work at 4-5pm, you won’t be able to grab something before heading home. I think they could get more business if they extended their hours to 4-5pm. Especially with the Fmcc students getting out of classes at 3pm-4pm to grab something before heading back to their dorm/apartment. There aren’t many non-chain restaurants in Fulton County so I know it’s hard competing with chain restaurants when they have infinite man power and can be open 24/7. I will continue to recommend this restaurant to my friends and family because we need more businesses like this in Fulton County!

I’ve been fiercely loyal to a ramen shop 40mins from here, but my family and I decided to give this place a try since it’s so close and we are in LOVE. The service was exceptional, food healthy but very delicious. The place was beautifully decorated. Our 10month old had a blast looking at the decor and eating the potato/leek soup! Everything about this place was phenomenal and needless to say we’ll be swapping our regular ramen shop for this one

This place is amazing!!! So exciting to have a restaurant downtown with healthy options that taste good too. The owners renovated an old building themselves and created a beautiful interior with a great atmosphere. Their menu is different than anything in Gloversville and full of options for vegetarians, meat-eaters, and vegans.
