This is a wonderful bakery with tasty savory and sweet treats! The chili bread was delicious and so were the scones, oatmeal bars and seeded French bread. These marvelous baked goods lasted us two days! The service was excellent. The staff was efficient and friendly. This is a take out only.

This place has the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had by far, and I’ve had a lot of different breakfast burritos so that’s saying something. I’ve only tried the “kick in the pants” burrito, but I’m sure they are all just as good
Great prices combined with great food and wonderful staff, makes for a solid 5 stars. Well done!

There are few places in the town of bozeman that I don’t find myself extremely disappointed in the quality of food.. the lack of quality is truly astounding. On the rise has been one of the few places that are a staple for lunches during the week, and unfortunately it no longer is. This is not the first but the second, basic 10$ sandwich that I have gotten that I have thrown away and gone without lunch. The first sandwich was missing tomato and spinach, leaving me with a flavorless dry piece of bread, artichoke spread and cheese. The second sandwich is more disappointing.. it might have all of its ingredients but unfortunately only what resembles a tomato… At first I thought it was sun dried tomato, thinking that they had upgraded the sandwich (being that it is winter and good fresh tomatoes are hard to come by) only to realize that it’s a spoiled tomato (NOT roasted or sun dried), which has made the bread soggy and tasting of rotten tomato. Thanks Bozeman food, I guess you really do always disappoint.

No other bakery in town comes close to perfection in these loaves of bread! They are wholesome and delicious. My current favorite is the seeded loaf of sourdough. Look at the beauty!

I bought a loaf of bread from a supermarket in west Yellowstone, thinking the most expensive one has to be the best and it’s a local brand so I was down to try! I was so wrong. The bread was so dry that it breaks easily and it tastes a tiny bit of sour, it feels like the bread has been left out for a couple months.
I thought to myself – this must be what bread used to taste like for poor people back during war time when fresh flour is not accessible.

We got a variety of scones for a family brunch, and our guests LOVED them! They were fresh and delicious, with wonderful flavors. What a great way to do a memorable breakfast.

I can see why some folks don’t like their bread. it’s got a harder crust and can be chewy (which is what I like about it). but have you tried the croissants? the pastries? we had a cruffin the other day, filled with whipped cream and jam. we ate it, day old, in a parking lot. delicious.

I’ve always found most of their bread to be really dense, chewy, and hard to eat, pretty much every loaf is like eating a chewy old bagel with a thick exterior of crust in terms of texture. Making a sandwich out of this stuff is hell. The breads that are on the softer side such as the challah are often too dry and crumbly. The sour dough is inedible due to how tough/thick the crust is. For this quality, I’m sorry, but it’s just so overpriced. The average $2 loaf you get at the supermarket in most European countries is 10x better. I don’t understand why people in this town can’t make soft spongey bread with a light crispy texture that’s addictive to eat.
When I found myself enjoying mass produced store bought breads from Safeway more than on the rise loafs, I figured it wasn’t worth paying premium for a sub-par product.
Sorry for sounding harsh but I take my bread very seriously and it annoys me the heck out of me when I have to rely on massed produced stuff instead of buying locally.
