Out-of-this-world ice cream! The best ice cream in the Sierra Vista area!
My wife and I love to come here for ice cream. They have a wide variety of assorted candies and drinks to choose from as well. If I had to recommend anything else from this mom-and-pop shop, it would be the tortillas they sell! You can find them by the cash Register. The staff were respectful and polite and took their time making everyone’s orders.

Excellent place to let your inner child out and relive being young again !! So in a nut shell, I love coming here to enjoy my favorite ice cream cone while sculpting balloon figures for the fun of it or fund raisers for good causes for good people that Julie and Sammy’s love to do here

The outside sign “Thrifty Ice Cream” is an eye catcher as some of us remember the long-gone Thrifty Drug Store chain with that forever radio jingle, “Save a nickel, save a dime, save at Thrifty all the time. Save a dollar and much more at your Thrifty Drug Store!” Thrifty Drugs featured ice cream for cones starting at 25 cents for a two-scoop cone way back when! Shamrock Dairy purchased the rights to continue the brand name.
The inside and outdoor decorations, signage, and overall decor were not only cleverly made but also quite “tastefully” designed (pictured). When the store was recently visited, a wide variety of age ranges were definitely enjoying the very spacious and fun environment.
Marvin Kouza, co-owner, is shown eagerly scooping two generous scoops of a popular favorite flavor, Mint Chip! Including tax, it was $4.10.
Marvin also is the owner and General Manager of the nearby successful Rodeway Inn. It has a high rating of 4.5 out of 5 on both TripAdvisor and Google; thus, you can be assured of quality service and products will be offered here also.
The parlor is named after Marvin’s two children Julie (5 yrs.) and Sammy (4 yrs.) and has been in business for about 2 and half months.

Delicious ice cream, but the last two times I have been there you have been out of chocolate chip and coffee flavored ice. You can’t sell ice cream if you don’t have it. You need another freezer so you could back stock popular flavors. Very disappointing.
