So let’s get into this review y’all… First of y’all, they had “NO” idea that we are “VIRAL” Google Reviewers and we were in town visiting our family but decided to review food places in the area to garner business to the local community as we have done in DFW…. But their were a few things that I didn’t care for….. That thing is the “Evil Stares” we received from the Caucasian folks dining… Clearly, you all are “STILL” living in the backwood Dark Ages because in 2025 that Ole Addage is just that “OLD”! Get in with the New “GEN” who understands that “ALL” folks $$ allows the American Economy to flow…. Listen, Racial Hatred is “DEAD”, it serves No Purpose except to Divide Nations. I know for certain, in the “Deep South” FOOD is what binds us together and we NEED to understand the basic concept of “FAMILY “. When I visit LOUISIANA, I am more intuned with that basic concept because in this state I have always felt “Welcomed” and treated with “Dignity” and “Respect”. If you want your cities to grow, you have to “EMBRACE” change or be left behind. With AI, change is inevitable so let’s at least keep that “OLE Addage” of “FAMILY” when we visit this Great State of LOUISIANA….even when other places have gone away from it. Now on to the staff and food…. The Staff was absolutely kind, nice, professional and knowledgeable of the menu items. The choices were very healthy and upscale that it reminded us of a pizza spot in “UPTOWN DALLAS”! So kudos for the Modern Atmosphere and menu selection! The location is in a “NEW” section of town and their is plenty of FREE parking. The thing that was absolutely “DALLAS” was the BAR with a full Bartender to fix your favorite drink!! This is a nice spot and despite the Stares, we will visit again but next time with our Law Enforcement Family Members so we don’t have no issues. Despite how the customers treated us, we FORGIVE because we understand that NOT EVERYONE has those views. Family and Food is everything and Louisiana knows this; this is why they are #1 in my book!!! Our reviews have reached 750k and I guarantee a review from us WILL have an impact.

Wow! My boss and I stopped for a late Saturday supper (11/8/2025.) This has to be the best pizza I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant (I really can’t compare it to my wife’s homemade pizza, of course!” Anyway, they use King Arthur flour which is one of the top flours available. The wood fired pizza was crispy yet soft, with the perfect ratio of sauce, cheese, meat, and vegetables. I didn’t leave with that heavy, slightly bloated feeling I get from other pizza establishments. Ms Hailey and her staff are sweet, beautiful, and friendly, and their level of service will be hard to beat.
I really like that it wasn’t loud, especially with the bar being inside the dining room. I guess the rowdy drunks go to a pub to wreak their havoc.
This is the perfect place for a small group (I wouldn’t take more than six), your special other, or your grandchildren!
Y’all come now, ya hear?

We were passing through and seen a sign for wood fire pizza. Glad we stopped. The individual taking orders was polite and helpful. The food came out quick. We shared a Chef salad ($11). It was fresh and very large. Very sharable. The pizza’s came out hot. They are about 10″. I got the meat lover ($13) and it was topped nicely with 4 different meats. My Partner got the bacon chicken ranch ($13) and it was delicious. It could of had a little bit more chicken but still very good.
They have that good ice at the drink station and it was clean.
Next time we’re in the area we’ll make a point to stop again.

We live in Alexandria, but my husband brought me here for the first time two years ago to try their pizza—and it’s honestly the best pizza I’ve ever had. As a vegetarian, I have limited options in Alexandria, and Jim Deggy’s has become my go-to pizza spot. I dine here atleast once in every two weeks.

I’m not a fan of the usual marinara tomato base—it often tastes undercooked to me at other places. But Jim Deggy’s is a game-changer. I always order their cheese pizza with a pesto base and a few toppings—that’s my usual, and it never disappoints.

They also have a few great vegetarian appetizers, which is a big plus. Highly recommend for fellow vegetarians looking for flavor!

What is this Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle? $10 for five wings and one weird thing I don’t want to eat. Another one of the other Wings looked weird but before finding this one I just thought it was over fried or something. The line should have never packaged this. There was no meat on it, it was just a weird piece of fat skin. This place is too expensive for stuff like this. I rarely eat out and royally regret it. Definitely would like a refund.

Incredible pizza! Hands down best pizza in town! The cupcakes they sell were a little stale but the pizza itself obviously a little expensive compared to the big chains but the taste makes up for it. we got take out and we were blown.

Food was great. Once you get your food it is hard to get someone’s attention for service. The atmosphere is bla but that didn’t bother me. It’s fairly fast in and out.

Came here for the first time…and OH MY!

JIM DEGGY’S TRULY HAS A NEW SPIN ON PIZZA DOUGH (no pun intended).

We had the Couchon . He is a genius with creating a dough that maintains a great consistency of moisture (for lack of a better term) –making it not too chewy or doughy–but JUST RIGHT!!! (Yes…like Goldilocks felt about Baby Bear’s porridge. Lol)

The thin crust is also great! You aren’t filling up on just a ton of dough with limited toppings.

They crank these pizzas out really quickly.

Next time, I will make my own pizza.

You will not be disappointed at all dining for some pizza here.

Enjoy!

Highly recommend! They have personal pizzas, appetizers etc. A bar. The aesthetic is very inviting and the staff was eager to please. We placed our order and had it withing 10 mins. Fresh hot out of the pizza oven. Best homemade pizza around! Absolutely delicious! And good value for the price. We got 3 personal pizzas(we had to take home leftovers) and an order or cheese bread with drinks and spent less than $50. Very good value. Thank you!
