If your ready to be wisked away to a nostalgic experience of old fashioned diners and down to earth fun and friendly staff Irwins is the place for you.
The parking is somewhat limited but is handi capt accessible.
Seating is limited to 4 booths a table and counter seating. If you want to eat in the restaurant on a Sunday you could be waiting a while to be seated unless you chose to wait at the counter. You can also call in and order for pickup.
If you go I highly recommend the fresh squeezed lime or lemonaide, dont miss out on their amazing home fries and delectable Breakfast Club!

I’ve just found my own cozy breakfast diner and it’s amazing. I was enlightened by Steve, the man who brought the place back and now has it on the map where it’s been since the 50s with a long tradition. The cooks are hard-working and very good at their craft. I’ve been back to back and will continue if you’d like to sit down at an ole school diner check this place out.

I’ve really enjoyed eating here over the past year. I think that their she crab soup is some of the best in Tidewater!! Notice the empty bowl? Their limeade is so good too!! And their sandwiches are amazing!!!

Omgee. We stumbled across this place by happenstance, and I am SO GLAD we did!! The food is homemade, the portions are great, the people are friendly and kind, and the whole experience was just amazing. It’s located inside of a pharmacy. This place is amazing. I come here with my grandpa and he loves this place. He’s been here when he was young and its still as great he says. The BLT is amazing and the shecrab soup is amazing. The side salads are way bigger than any “side salad” I’ve seen at a restaurant which is great. The staff are amazing and friendly. When you come in they know their regulars by name and the staff are quick on the grill but they always get your order right even when its busy.

Charming soda fountain dinner tucked into Irwin’s Pharmacy. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. Clean and retro atmosphere. Food is cooked to order, fresh, balanced seasoning. Limeaids are squeezed fresh after order, not too tart not to sweet. Easy to make adjustments to menu items if have allergy or food issue. Got vanilla sundae after the main meal, ice cream tastes like vanilla not just bland cream.
Definitely a must return to location.

First time eating from here and based on reviews I decided to try it. It was definitely busy but in a good way, nobody was complaining and they were moving people orders pretty steady although seating is limited for eating in but constant flow of customers coming in and out I knew I made a good decision for lunch, I got Philly steak sub combo w/fries and tea. Cute set up and if there was more seating I would’ve ate in.

Great to find an Old Fashioned Fountain inside a Pharmacy. Super friendly staff and good food. The Crab Lumpia is a must try. The stuffing is heavily loaded with crab.

This is definitely a place that takes you back. I really enjoyed the family type environment and the friendly customer service. The food was good, and my milkshake was comforting. Everything was worth every penny, and I’ll be back for breakfast.
