Randomly decided to have dinner here while visiting Kingston and we’ll definitely be back! I mean… we even ate all of the papadam (which for us never happens) because it was buttery and had such a nice garlic flavor. Naan was great. Onion fritters were tasty. Lamb and chicken dishes on point. There’s a nice, quiet dining room. Saber served us and was super friendly and fun… we’ll be back to try spicier dishes next time!

I had extensive surgery yesterday. The only food I wanted was Saber’s Taste of India. The food is fabulous with very generous portions. Saber is a delightful host. While we had takeout this time, we often dine in. The dining room is a hidden gem! Thank you Saber!

We tried a variety of dishes from this restaurant and didn’t enjoy any of them. We found everything to be lacking in flavour and the dishes were very sweet. The vegetable korma was full of frozen vegetables and very bland. The Bombay aloo was supposed to be spicy but we could barely taste anything.
Ontop of the lack of flavor, the portion sizes were small. The takeout containers were not anywhere near full.
However, the person working (assuming he was the owner?) was very friendly.
We won’t be returning but this resturant may be good for someone wishing to try indian food and looking for a very timid experience.

Dined here with family while visiting Kingston. Fantastic food, flavour, portion, and quality. The owner has decorated the dining room beautifully and shared with us the origins of some of the artwork. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious Indian Food! We ordered take out and the person on the phone addressed very well a gluten allergy. All food was very flavourful and the meat was very tender. The portions are well sized. Rice has to be ordered in addition to the mains. Will definitely be back for other dishes.

The food was very well tasting but the servers were seemed to be like they didn’t wanna serve at all. Being in the industry I though that we have to show a little bit of enthusiasm as we go serving people. But I didn’t feel that spark here. The food was great, particularly the naan was perfectly crisp and I was very happy with the taste but the service should be improved!

This place is absolutely wonderful. I had the pleasure of dining in before the pandemic and the hospitality and warm greetings from the staff and master chef made me smile from ear to ear. I rated this restaurant honestly with a bit of modesty. 4/5 for food because I have never tasted better in Kingston but I suppose there “could” be better? You certainly won’t be sad you ate here though! The service has ALWAYS been above all of my high expectations, as for the atmosphere…. I don’t know what is considered 5 star atmosphere for India but this certainly didn’t disappoint me. I spent plenty of time enjoying the artwork on the dine in restaurant wall, the calm music and atmosphere really made the experience. I can advise that if you are looking for an authentic Indian culinary experience vs a westernized version, you may wish to look elsewhere however this food is still absolutely delicious and caters to a good 80% of our population. I can’t think of a single restaurant that deserves our business more than this one in Kingston. Times have been hard on everyone including Sabers and this Gem is 1000% worth your business. Help me, help this business so they don’t become a statistic! Try any item on their menu, it’s all amazing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

An incredibly enjoyable experience. Saber, the owner, has taken a small space and made it both comfortable and welcoming. The flavours are incredibly good and the portion sizes are generous. But I most noticed how friendly Saber himself is, and just what a good feeling eating here has. Highly, highly recommend.
