We got seated right away and the conveyer belt was full of choices.
Everything was tasty and we left very full.
Excellent prices and portions.
Highly recommend!
Only down side was how cold the metal chairs are!
Sushi Sapporo was a pretty average experience. The restaurant felt a bit unclean, and the conveyor belt sushi was warm—which instantly raised some red flags. To play it safe, I ordered a spicy tuna hand roll, but unfortunately, the tuna was still partially frozen. So, from too warm to too cold—definitely not what you’d expect from a sushi place.
It was surprisingly busy, though I suspect that has more to do with the lack of other options nearby than the quality of the food. That said, I didn’t get sick, and it was edible, so there’s that. If you’re really craving sushi and have no other alternatives, it might do in a pinch—but warm conveyor sushi is definitely sketchy.
I’m honestly shocked.
The quality and taste along with the inside atmosphere of the staff sure reminds me of something more in Northwest Portland than it does Southeast Portland.
It seems to be a place of high-end clientele as there’s an Aston Martin vantage in various other high-end luxury vehicles that patronage the restaurant.
My experience was absolutely wonderful. Today I haven’t been to any sushi restaurant that had this level of table etiquette.
I also have to mention that the restaurant is very clean throughout as there are no sticky surfaces or even dust visible.
The waiter was attentive and brought a flair of class I really have not experienced at a sushi restaurant before that has this rotation belt style arrangement.
I was going to go in there for some egg rolls but this probably is the first time I actually smelled something that was so enticing I actually had to go ahead and get it and it was the sushi rolls I had pictured.
I am no sushi expert Nora Japanese food extraordinaire but this absolutely tasted wonderful.
My bill was cheaper than what I paid for my coffee next door!
The value for your money is absolutely ludicrous!
There’s also no offensive smells in the place, something that even high-end restaurants in my neighborhood have trouble with , at a cost 6x of what you get @ Sushi Sapporo.
Plenty of seats and nice booths. Even with the mass of parking in the parking lot make sure to plan ahead because it’s usually packed here.
Absolutely recommended!
Kid-Friendly: I appreciated the thoughtful touch of providing kid-friendly chopsticks. My children loved it!
Overall Experience: We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this restaurant to families looking for delicious sushi and a welcoming atmosphere.
I must say that they have definitely worked on improvements. My daughter has been ordering this for me. Maybe I just wasn’t explaining what I wanted right but for the past week or since this post has been made They have really made huge efforts to correct the things that I’ve been going on and I thank you guys for that because I love eating here. I just hate spending my money when it’s not what I want.
-I grabbed one that tasted like Methyl mercaptan (CH₃SH)
the toxic rotten cabbage/garlic ingredient added to propane.
to detect leaks.. obviously that torch did not get hot enough to burn it off. could smell it in the air also.. ruined my experience we left in less 10 minutes and went to akira on 122nd cheaper ,cleaner and better tasting sushi.
will never go back.
