This is the best out of the 3 places ive tried so far in this area for breakfast burritos. The burrito was balanced and it had flavor that some others lacked of course. The green chili couls use some work and also add some heat to it would make it stand out much more but overall it was a good burrito.

It’s not my first time trying this spot but it’s my first time that I’m reviewing it. I’ve tried the tacos and breakfast burritos here before and they are delicious. I was craving some barbacoa so I got 2 pounds of barbacoa for breakfast. One for my wife and I to enjoy now and one for later. It comes with 10 tortillas per order with onions, cilantro, limes, and a salsa verde and salsa rojo. The tortillas are hot and fresh and are thick. We quickly made some tacos with all the fixings and devoured them. I’m originally from San Antonio and barbacoa on the weekends is a traditional breakfast meal. The barbacoa here is very close to the type made over there. It was seasoned to perfection and is savory and delicious. Great customer service too! Gracias por todo!

For Christmas Dinner 2025 my family chose El Mero Mero for their excellent choices of marinaded meat and tamales, this year the result was disappointing, picture attached, the tamales green and red were not fully cooked, we have been loyal customers for years

Excellent choice for a breakfast burrito! They have many options for meat including bacon, sausage and chorizo. They are usually ready to go as soon as I come in (between 6:30-8). They can make them up pretty quick too. They are on the higher side of reasonably priced. Their sauce is different then most others as it comes on the side. The green sauce is great at medium heat. The Red is for those who like it hot and I mean hot . Sometimes I get the red to wake me up!
I haven’t been to El Mero Mero any other time than breakfast but the lunch and dinner meal look very appetizing as well.

I REALLY wanted to like this place since my whole family had been telling me it’s really good but my experience was mid at best. The menudo was ok but not as flavorful as I hoped, I think I had canned menudo that tasted better. The coffee was also ok, and the bolillo for the menudo tasted good but was a little flat. For the price I don’t think I’d order the menudo or coffee again but I’m hoping the other menu items taste better when I revisit to give this place another try.

I specifically ordered two Gorditas with refried beans and rajas and only received them with rajas. Kitchen employees should pay more attention to orders instead of spend their time chatting. It took too long for my order to be ready and still not be done right. I don’t have all the time in the world to return for the order to be corrected. Ok 12/06/2025 I went to dine in. I ordered a menudo. When I was eating it, a fly fell in my food.

I went here today. At 8am. Figured if they opened at 6am they should be good. Walked into restaurant and I was grossed out by the numerous Flys buzzing around . And then the smell was terrible was like combination of rotten food, B.o. , and uncleanness kitchen drains. I tried to view the menu but the smell was offending my nose . I couldn’t leave quick enough. I didn’t bother to order, I wanted to survive today.

Very disappointed. First time ordering for my family on THANKSGIVING of all days. Found cut up plastic in my food. Tried calling to make right 3 times no answer. Definitely won’t be returning and do not recommend. Breakfast burritos were average, but Carne aside fries had plastic shavings in it, threw away after finding second piece of plastic.
