We provide generous portions, while maintaining modest prices. NYC GYRO is the only place in Montgomery that serves falafel (deep-fried ball or patty made from ground chickpeas and vegetables). We serve homemade Falafel, Hummus, Babaganoush, baklava, tabouli salad and a lot of other delicious healthy food. Well, I am Greek. Let me tell you that this is far from the real deal. Basically spicy chicken bites. Gyros is usually crispy thin slices of meat and roasted on a spit. Not in a pan or the oven. Either way the quality seemed okay but it shouldn’t be marketed as gyros

Shawarma was a huge portion of every meat on their menu and an assortment of sides (e.g. lettuce and fries).

This is a popular lunch spot near Maxwell AFB. Parking is always available.

Very overprice. Food is ok. Absolutely absurd prices they don’t have prices listed then when you check out you have a 17$ gyro that is literally just a chicken wrap. Not anything to write home about. Taking advantage of military members being outside the gate. Recommend avoid.

Went first time for lunch. Was excited to see shawarma on the menu. The menu itself on the chalk wall wasn’t an issue. However the pricing wasn’t attached.

So let’s start with the food.
Large serving which is very positive however for a price point of 14.99 a bit much (drinks not included)

As for the taste of the shawarma it was okay… honestly missing some flavor and was missing something to bring the full taste.

The Lamb had a good season to I but it overwhelmed majority of everything.

Texture wise the falafel had a great crunch to it as well as the fries but was not incorporated evenly thought the full wrap.

So half of the wrap was crunchy and half was soft. Half was more chicken was all falafel.

Overall wasn’t bad but I dont think I’d go back

I came to Montgomery a few years ago for a five week work trip. The only place that I told myself I had to come back to if I was ever in this city again, was this place! These gyros are to die for. Fair warning, you’re gonna have to wait a while for your food. This place gets slammed at lunch and it takes a hot second. Worth it though if you were given 90 minutes for lunch.

Food is good but it’s pricey.

Worse than that they hit my credit card with an erroneous charge that showed up on my CC statement for nearly $20 I will not go back!

This is a popular spot but it’s really basic. The food is really popular with the locals but I found it average at best. The taboulah smelled expired.

Very Good! I did a Curbside and had a Philly. The Roll was excellent. The philly to be has a lot to do with the Bread..it seemed fresh made.

I live in Prattville and I go out of my way to go to New York City gyro at this location or either the one downtown Montgomery. That should really say enough for what I think of the gyros, and the baba nagues and hummus and really anything on their menu.
