A long enjoyed Gig Harbor establishment. It offers the typical Dairy Queen menu items including their popular frozen treats. The staff were friendly, the service was expeditious and the restaurant dining area was clean. There is a drive through option for orders. The GH DQ has always had a 1959’s old school Rock n Roll motif, featuring Elvis Presley memorabilia. A good stop on a hot day to cool off with some ice cream based frozen treats.

I recently was given the very important task of securing dessert for my wife’s birthday party. I’m not typically in charge of such tasks as my price sensitive nature often impedes my decision making. This was not the case last week when I made the decision to purchase her birthday cake from this fine establishment. I went in perfectly happy to pay full price but the app had a deal going where it was 50% off. I had intended to purchase a single 10″ cake but as it was 50% off I figured, “I was already willing to pay full price, why not just get 2”. This turned out to be my downfall. When dessert time rolled around I presented the 9 people present with the 2 cakes. Everyone was very very pleased with the flavor but as the cakes are very filling, they were only able to consume about 3/4 of one of the cakes. It has now been 4 days and I have been eating leftover Ice cream cake each night for dessert and it’s still as good as it was when I first ate it.
TL:DR The ice cream cake is top tier and your life will never be the same.

I’ve had two bad experiences at this location in the past few months with the same issue: Blizzards that are melted and soupy instead of thick and blended. Tonight I paid a lot of money for our order and ended up throwing mine away.
Looking at other reviews, it’s clear this is a recurring problem. The store needs to check and maintain their soft-serve machine, because this is not acceptable quality. Please address this issue.

This restaurant SUCKS! Today I went in there, kids were messing around in the back on their phones, employees smoking in the parking lot, the place smells like weed and looks like trash. Management is absolute garbage. Yall should take a hard look at yourselves, not to mention the manager of this establishment is extremely immature for being 30+ and fires workers for no reason. Would not recommend eating the food here. Straight trash

When visiting this location, there was only one other car in line. This is what I got for my burger and fries. I also ordered a large fry and 2 blizzards one for me and one for my wife. I didn’t get the right blizzard either time and I was missing the large fry and when I asked for it to be fixed I got ignored the first time and attitude the second time. I won’t be returning to the Gig Harbor location

I’ve only ordered through the window each time I’ve been here. Been coming here for years. Never had a negative experience.
4/8/25- I’ve been thinking about my spending lately, so when I realized I was spending $7 for an ice cream, I was starting to rethink how this purchase was not a good idea.
BUT when I got to the window and the guy working there handed out this glorious blizzard with a smile it was all worth it!
I don’t recall ever getting a smile with my blizzard. AND look at that whipped cream on top! I’m just a kid at heart! That was one of the best experiences there!

The dairy queen team gave me and the customer after me the same order number. Order number 73. Twenty people walked in after I ordered. I notified the staff of the situation as they were serving multiple customer’s that paid after me with larger orders. Instead of making my ice cream and shake sending me on my way they then made every other customer’s items before serving me mine claiming they were slammed today. My food was done approxi and 10/15 minutes before my shake and blizzard. Seemed to be done out of spite. Not the way to treat someone due to a technical problem on your business’s end.
