I thoroughly enjoyed this visit. A few weeks ago I visited another Flying Biscuit Café and wanted to try this location. They didn’t disappoint. It gives off a cool city-brunch vibe that feels lively but relaxed.
My food was delicious once again. I ordered Smoked Salmon Scramble which is three eggs w/wood-smoked salmon and dill cream cheese. The wasn’t quite enough cream cheese this time but it was still flavorful. As always, the apple butter on the biscuit was a highlight. I noticed my hollandaise was missing so I’m glad I asked. It pairs perfectly with their famous moon-dusted potatoes. Who would have thought! My husband enjoyed the Egg-Stravaganza, and I love seeing peppermint tea on the menu at this location. I enjoyed it with my meal and he got a white russian.

Portion sizes are generous and definitely worth the price. Our waiter, Fofo, was friendly, attentive, and easygoing, which made the experience even better. Overall, it’s a great place for brunch, and I would absolutely return.

Review: 4⭐ out of 5

Stopped by The Flying Biscuit ( The Flying Biscuit Cafe ) for breakfast and overall it lands at a solid 4/5.

Let’s start with the highlight — the stuffed French toast is straight fire. Easily the star of the table and something I’d come back for again without hesitation.

I ordered the steak medium, but it came out fully cooked with no pink at all. The flavor was still good, so it wasn’t a total loss, but the temperature definitely missed the mark.

The shrimp and grits unfortunately didn’t hit. It lacked seasoning and the flavor was overpowered by a heavy tomato/tomato paste mix, which took away from what should be a rich, savory dish.

The traditional breakfast plate (eggs, sausage, bacon) was good. Nothing crazy, but let’s be honest — it’s hard to mess up a classic breakfast and they handled it well.

Now the biscuit… honestly a little underwhelming. I expected more from a place known for biscuits, and the jam served with it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

The hot chocolate though? 5/5. ☕ Absolutely nailed it.

Huge shoutout to Jayda, our waitress. She was attentive, helpful, and kept everything running smoothly. Her service honestly boosted this experience a full star. Without her, this probably lands closer to a 3/5 overall.

Final Score: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
Come for the stuffed French toast and hot chocolate, and if Jayda’s in your section you’re in good hands.

The food was so good. My husband brought me here for a breakfast date before work. We shared homemade donut wholes for an appetizer. He had an omelet and I got a bowl with chorizo sausage and chicken. Everything was flavored good and hot and fresh. We would definitely return. The upside is the prices are really reasonable without jeopardizing quality. It was a bit cold in the inside so I suggest carry a jacket.

This place is fantastic. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. Tom, our waiter was amazing and we didn’t need to want for anything. I had the Hangover Hash and it was delicious. My wife had the stuffed French toast and it was like cake…soooo good. Biscuits are amazing with the cranberry butter. Definitely recommend and would love to come here again. AMAZING SERVICE AND FOOD.

Parking can be a bit tricky in this neighborhood gem, but it’s absolutely worth it once you walk in. The vibe hits right away with those amazing murals and relaxed energy plus friendly hostess. The food? Delicious—and reasonably priced with generous portions! We had the Eggs Benedict, grits, french toast, and lattes, and loved every bite. Can’t wait to come back and try more.

Absolutely DELICIOUS!! I had the Hangover Hash which had flavor in every bite, the biscuit with the cranberry apple butter was perfection!! My daughter had the Honey Butter Chicken and Waffles and the taste was the absolute best! If I can give this place more than 5 stars I would ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The service was great, it was a bit busy on a Sunday for brunch but there was no wait. Food came out fast! I would recommend this place to anyone I know, we will definitely be back. Parking is a little hard to find but it’s worth it!

I went there on Sunday around 12:30pm, they were very busy and the hostess told me that it will be 20 min, so we wait. Remind we have a family of 7 including 2 kids. I was told that since the restaurant is very small they can’t move tables around and the manger ask if we can slip into 2 tables.
– First we didn’t agree with it but she explain due to the safety of everyone and they can’t put high chairs or stroller on the end of the table. So of course I understand that. So we waiting for 25 min, after our tables were ready. Let me tell you everyone was so nice and accommodate us.
– the server constantly checking on us
– the manager was so sweet , he even came to give our little boy some fruits cause she know that he was hungry since we waited for the table.
– I will not recommend if you have a big party here the store is very small, they can accommodate if you want to split into 2 or 3 tables.
overall the experience was 100 % recommended and would come back for my kids birthday to celebrate cause the food was soooo good and service was best.

This place is a diamond in the rough. I’m not from Houston; I just stumbled across this place because I wanted breakfast and it was on the way toward my destination. The biscuits are phenomenal! My husband loved all the homemade jams and spreads, and we both enjoyed the whipped butter. Can definitely recommend the veggie scramble, cheesy grits, steak and eggs, and the potatoes! If you’re fortunate enough to get Thomas as your waiter you are in good hands. He’s absolutely great! He took such good care of us, gave us good information and recommendations on the menu and did not disappoint. Also he brought over some other menu items to try. Go and see for yourself what a terrific spot this is. (And tell your friends)
