Waffle House success comes from a consistency of menu. Pretty much all the same at all their locations. All AWESOME!
Waffle House workers are friendly and great cooks. I can honestly say I’ve NEVER had a meal that wasn’t SPECTACULAR!
And then there’s the Waffle House at 14173 US-90, Boutte, LA.
We were on a road trip and needed a bite before the hunger got in the way of enjoying our adventure. Our server was Tamara. Her SMILE and PERSONALITY was like… morning sunlight waking the soul – warm, effortless, and impossibly radiant.
Each time she checked on us, offering a warm smile (and a coffee refill), it was less like service and more like a quiet act of kindness – a graceful reminder of her boundless generosity of spirit, attention without intrusion, and as if she understood that comfort is found not just in coffee, but in being cared for.
Tamara, thank you for the coffee, amazing meal, coffee, your smile, coffee, your radiant personality, and coffee.

Worse time ever here. Was here for over an hour for a to go order.
Made this visit with a friend and her two under 5 children. Clearly two orders, one with a coupon for free hash browns. Even asked the waitress if she made two orders and she said no that she was going to fix it. She didn’t, come to find out when we each went to pay. The waitress charged my friend for everything not noticing it wasn’t correct. Then when I went to pay, I was charged for the free hash browns. Total of my order was $10 not even close to what it should have been. (More like $8) And that’s when the waitress realize she charged my friend for my meal too, full price. The manager was going to refund her, yet this stop was just too much with two little ones ready to be home and eat. We left and I just paid my friend. I understand miscommunication happens, one can get distracted and forget or it slips the mind. Not every shift is going to be perfect . It’s not like I’ll stop going to this waffle house, it’s close by. I’ll just make sure everything is clearly understood and issues fixed right then before I let the wait staff walk away.
My order of hash browns were the smallest I’ve received from here and the waffle wasn’t even worth eating (no butter or syrup and wasn’t even done) by the time our orders were ready to go. Waste of time and money here tonight. And I still have to fix something else to eat. Very disappointed since I know this location is better than that.

It ain’t Waffle House if there wasn’t trouble. This place is very short-staffed. Only one waitress and one chef when I dined in. You can tell they were trying their best to accommodate all their tables. I felt really bad for them, but they held their ground. Food was good, and service was as good as it could get. It’s hard to do your best when it’s just you serving multiple people at once. I hope they get more staff because I know those two people who worked the night I came eat must be tired.

Servers were friendly, the food was meh. The tables were dirty, and it didn’t seem like the condiment bottles had been really wiped down. Our server didn’t bother walking around with our drinks to the table….she just sorta reached across the counter.
The interior of the store is pretty bad. needs a lot of help making it more updated and not looking like a greasy dive. I really don’t know whether we’d be back to eat here again.

Our server for breakfast was Tamara Myers. She went above and beyond to accommodate our special requests for breakfast and was the most pleasant and cheerful server we’ve ever had there. Even though we are always cold in this establishment, she is definitely one of the main reasons we will return to this location. We were blessed. She is a treasure.
