Pomodoro is the kind of place you almost walk past — no lines out the door, no neon hype — and that’s exactly why you should go. My colleagues and I went twice in one week! The food hits you in that quiet, unmistakable way: fresh pasta tangled up with a rich beef-and-pork bolognese, baskets of warm bread, and olive oil so good you start negotiating for the last piece. The list of Italian imported wines is tightly curated — the kind of bottles you actually want to drink, not just recognize on a label.
The staff don’t just drop plates and disappear. They talk to you. They size up what you might actually love and point you toward what’s most authentic — including a Sunday-style beef dish that tastes like something a nonna’s been perfecting for decades. When we walked back in a few days later, they remembered our names, remembered our orders, and treated us like family who’d finally made it home for dinner.
Cozy lighting, Italian voices floating out of the kitchen, that lived-in, authentically Italian feel — Pomodoro isn’t trying to be trendy. It’s just good. South Florida’s best-kept secret, but hopefully not for long.

If you’re not prepared for authentic, European-style Italian food, this might not be the place for you—but if you are, you’re in for a treat. I was so happy with both my meal and the service. It’s rare in South Florida to find tomato sauce made from real tomatoes rather than a can, but here, nothing tastes pre-made or shortcut.
No disrespect to other restaurants that use premade ingredients (I understand costs add up), but this spot is exactly what you pay for: quality. The olive oil was outstanding, the focaccia bread was out of this world, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy.
Even though I ordered something very simple, it was executed perfectly. I left genuinely impressed and can’t wait to come back.

Absolutely the best dinner I have ever had. Food was perfection. Gnocchi that melt in your mouth. Yellowtail potato encrusted beyond belief. I felt like I was in Italy with a private chef making all organic creations. Will be back soon.

Our second time visiting this restaurant and it’s safe to say we will absolutely be regulars. The service, atmosphere, and food are absolutely fantastic. The pizza is incredible and will definitely be ordering to-go weekly. We also tried the gnocchi and penne which were without a doubt the best I’ve ever had in South Florida. The bread they brought for the table was a focaccia with tomatoes and olive oil that I literally could have made a meal out of it was so good. Try anything here and you will not be disappointed!!
