Benoît DAVID est un chef créatif, collaborateur de Jean-Yves SCHILLINGER, qui vous entraînera dans son univers, où la gastronomie du monde est à l’honneur. Le chef décline la bistronomie à sa façon. Une carte régulièrement renouvelée avec des plats revisités avec modernité et pertinence.
Tous nos plats sont élaborés sur place à partir de produits frais. L’ensemble des plats qui vous est proposés sont faits maison.

The foie gras is definitely worth trying. The pasta was average. One of the waitresses responded to our questions in a noticeably loud tone, almost as if she was mocking us, which seemed to reflect a somewhat common attitude we experienced in France. Interestingly, she kept her voice at a normal level for the rest of the service. Overall, it’s a place you can try, but apart from the foie gras, the food was quite average.

It’s a top level restaurant in Colmar, on a very touristic street, but the place has not at all that cheap and touristy vibe, it’s actually a very nice restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was great, we had a beautiful Alsace Riesling wine for the lunch and a Gewurztraminer for the deserts. 100% Recommendable!

We had a reservation at Bord’eau and were seated outside by the water. A beautiful, peaceful spot where ducks and swans drifted past. I started with the bean salad, which was refreshing and light, with pickled onion scattered throughout that added a lovely zest. For my main, I chose the vegetable risotto, and it was outstanding: robust in flavour, packed with fresh seasonal vegetables, and layered with just the right balance of tartness and umami. I finished with an espresso and a few small sweets, the perfect close to a memorable meal. Wonderful experience and I’ll definitely be returning!

Beautiful restaurant with expert staff and fantastic menu. We had a quiet table on the second floor. A basket of popovers was a welcome addition as was the amuse bouche. The lamb chops were perfectly prepared. Reservations are recommended.

Very good service, good food, excellent desserts. Good atmosphere, nice surroundings. However, the portions are rather small (excluding the desserts) and I don’t think it was quite worth the money for me.

Wonderful meal on a beautiful terrase. They were great with kids and had a children menu (which was still nicely plated and made them feel like part of the celebration). Very good wine list.

After a few delays en route we arrived quite late in Colmar on a Wednesday evening and many restaurants were past last orders but the staff at Bord’eau were very welcoming for a couple of hungry walk-ins.
Although the meal was a little more expensive than we were planning on, the food was delicious with some flavour combinations that, while unexpected, worked well and was beatifully prepared and presented. Excellent service. Great setting by the canal and I can imagine that, if the weather were fine (it wasn’t on the occasion of our visit) it would be lovely to sit outside.
Recommended and would visit again.

Excellent dinner, very reasonable in pricing. Enjoyed all dishes. We also stayed at their guesthouse: excellent location, nice and comfortable apartment with a welcome cake, fruits, water, tea and coffee. We will come back!
