This restaurant is amazing! The food is fantastic! You can taste the freshness in every bit, from the homemade pizza dough and the pasta. All the pasta dishes were delicious from the chicken piccata to the lasagna. The filet was cooked perfectly. The charred carrots and pea pod salad are unique selections, and they were our absolute favorites to add to the meal. Be sure to leave room for dessert. The gelato is yummy! Our server was very friendly, attentive and made wonderful recommendations. We will definitely return. Reservations are recommended.

This is my third visit, and it was undoubtedly the best yet. Every dish was exquisite! The mushroom carpaccio was a stunning start, absolutely incredible. We also enjoyed the chicken thighs and what I can confidently say is the best lasagna I’ve had in Boston. The special of the day, ‘Sunday Gravy’, a rigatoni with short rib, wagyu, and ‘nduja sausage, was exceptional. The cocktails were equally impressive; their tiramisu espresso martini is a personal favorite. Our servers were attentive and provided excellent recommendations throughout the meal. All in all, it was an outstanding experience. Highly recommend!

Just had a FANTASTIC meal here. This is definitely being added to my list of favorite Italian restaurants in Boston! We also felt that everything was reasonably priced given their massive portion sizes. I would definitely recommend their caesar salad and pizzette, which was like a South shore style pizza but a little bit fluffier. Extremely cheesy and outstanding. We got the boneless ribeye, which they sliced and the lasagna was also 11/10—a humongous portion size that was rich, but I felt like I could’ve kept eating more and more. For dessert, you must try the torta gialla and the olive oil chocolate mousse. Other Google reviews reference the tiramisu, which I cannot speak for (dessert trio includes has all 3 desserts for $23—$3 more than if you just got the first two). The torta gialla was this delicious cake with crunchy bits, adding a nice texture. I also do not like maraschino cherries, but I LOVED the combo of cherries and chocolate in the mousse. Hope to come back again soon!!

Came here on a Thursday evening with a 6:30 dinner reservation for two. We were seated promptly at a high top in the lovely bar area. Our server, Jorge, was super helpful and answered our questions about the menu. We put in our drink and food order shortly after being seated. The cardamomo fresco was such a lovely cocktail that we ordered it twice! After a short wait, we got our food order with the scallop crudo appetizer along with fried mozzarella with caviar at 6:55. The scallops with brown butter and sweet potato were excellent! The fried mozzarella and caviar was also a lovely way to start the meal. After a bit of a longer wait, our entrees came out at 7:45. We ordered the chicken parmigiana and the spicy pici (hand-stretched Italian noodles). The chicken parmigiana was excellent and well-fried although it could’ve used a little bit more tomato. The spicy pici was also fantastic and the nduja meat sauce had a lot of flavor. After another longer wait, we got our dessert order at 8:10 and got the olive oil chocolate mousse. It wasn’t to sweet a the olive oil definitely enhanced the dish! Took a while until we got our check and paid at 8:40. Overall, the food was fantastic, but the service was a little slow which may have been due to being understaffed for the potentially busier than normal Thursday night and/or the needy customer next to us complaining about her chicken parmigiana being too cheesy. Definitely recommend coming here for the food and cocktails, but be prepared to wait.

Love the dim, godfather aesthetic. Feels like a vintage, old fashion Italian restaurant. sat at the bar so service was good. I went during the week with no reservations and it was pretty lively, reservations might be necessary on busy nights/weekends. Great menu & everything I ate was a 10/10. Parking may be a bit of an issue since it’s in a residential area, so only street parking is available. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in Boston again!

They have gluten free Pastas! *Takeout*, quick turn around. The pasta was great but the sauce was rather lacking. Got add on chicken but it was rather plain chicken breast. For the price, I expected more flavor in the meat but decent over all

Great food on a Monday gluten free night. I had the best pasta of my life. Salmon crudo was delicious, bright and fresh. The garlic bread was ok, but was more like a pizza than a garlic bread. They had a great selection of wines. Gluten free tiramisu was good, but a little too heavy.

Worth the hype! Definitely recommend making a reservation. Caesar salad & garlic bread are a must. Cocktails could have been better. Big portions on the entrees – the chicken parm with vodka sauce was delish.

I never write reviews but just have to say, last night was a huge let down. About a month ago I came into the restaurant and made a reservation for my girlfriend and I’s 2nd anniversary – needless to say we were pretty excited to spend it at Prima! After a number of automated texts (which felt a bit much..) and day of phone call from Kayla(?) to confirm the reservation, we get sat at a high top table in the back of the bar that wasn’t even big enough for the menus. The restaurant was packed so I get it, but I’d shared 3 times that it was our anniversary and apparently no one thought to inform us you booked us a high-top bar table. After we sit down, our waitress who was super nice had to basically shout the specials at us, because again we’re at the bar, and then we’re told to order our whole meal (apps and entrees) together. Again fine, but when we do, our food comes out in a hurry and the $100+ bottle of wine we ordered hadn’t even been sent yet. So foods sitting, a bunch of people standing by us, we’re waiting for our wine and are just like we’re not coming back here for $300. I will say, food was very good but I could’ve made us steaks at home with a $50 bottle of wine rather than a loud, uncomfortable bar anniversary. Experiences like this are unfortunately why people continue to be let down by expensive restaurants and are deterred from going out to eat. Did not stay for dessert..
