This place has a mystic charm all on its own. It’s not new, trendy, glitzy and as far as I know, never had advertising. This is what makes it so special, its reputation. It can easily be overlooked when having “best places to eat” conversation but once you visit, it’s never to be soon forgotten. The ambiance is charming and quiet and the dress code is from casual to suit and tie. The food is the main attraction though. A classic shrimp cocktail as an appetizer was a great choice before the one pound ribeye. The “no sauce needed” steak was just as good as those other restaurants but surprisingly, not as expensive. Accompanied by a decadent twice loaded baked potato and a great old-fashioned to wash it down. I highly recommend you reacquaint yourself with this sometimes overlooked steak institution. Or come find out why it’s been in business since the late 50’s! DEFINITELY coming back.

Great food, service, wine, and people! We have had both dinners and lunch at Billy’s, as well as shopped in his extensive (and reasonably priced) wine/spirits store. Recently, we attended a wine pairing dinner (driving over from southern Arizona) that was wonderful! We met nice people, learning about and enjoyed lovely wine, and had a great meal!

We went to Billy Crews Dining Room for my husband’s birthday. Driving all the way from Las Cruces. Yum, yum yum!!! The steak was like butter. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked! I would highly recommend this place. Service and everything else was fantastic as well!

My husband and I have dined at Billy Crews many times and have always enjoyed it, but our experience this past Saturday was very disappointing.
We arrived around 7:00 PM with our one-year-old. The host asked how many were in our party, and after we said two adults and a child, she told us they were completely booked for the night. That was confusing, especially since right after we walked out, another couple came in and was seated immediately.
We have dined here before with our child and never had an issue, which made this experience even more confusing and disappointing. At first, we wondered if it had to do with how we were dressed, though we were appropriately dressed and have visited before without any problem. The couple seated after us was dressed more casually.
This experience left us feeling unwelcome, which was disappointing given our past positive experiences. We hope this is addressed so it doesn’t happen to others.

This place isn’t worth the cost. I’ve been here twice, because I thought my first experience was a fluke. The food is mediocre. My order was messed up during one of my visits. 1/3 of the meat I received was inedibly burnt, and the rest was very fatty. Gnats were flying around the table. The restroom needed attention (1 of 2 sinks was out of order and 1 of 2 toilets was grossly clogged). I could go on. The only good things are the butterscotch cream pie and the servers promptly refilling drinks and removing dishes from the table.

I travel the country for work. I eat out probably 7x a week. I’ve met servers from Augusta Maine to the coast of California. The words I have to express the service I received from Anthony for me and my party is unworthy of his excellence and experience. His respect knowledge and integrity for his job is unexplainable. Wow I can’t wait to come back here. I hope and pray this man is taken care of here. He needs a raise. BEST IVE HAD COAST TO COAST. I will come back here just because of Anthony!

Old syle stake house with the best steak in town. The meat is displayed for your pleasure and you tell them how thick you want your steak. The wine selection is unbelievable with an extensive selection of wines and spirits. They have a bar and a liquor store.
