We went when it opened in the morning, so the dim sum were fresh and steaming.
They are doing an opening promotion until end of February, where it is 10% off and no charge for tea.

We got an amazing deal on the Peking Duck (one course) for NZD $39.9 — super affordable, and my parents absolutely loved it. We’d tried their yum cha before and it was great as well. The selection is a little smaller than some places, but the flavours are still quite authentic. We’ll definitely be back!

Just checked out New Imperial Palace and wow, what a spot! The food was super tasty— every dish hit the mark. The staff were awesome too, really friendly and on the ball, which made the whole experience even better.
The vibe is pure Yamcha, so if you’re into that authentic feel, you’ll love it. The place is HUGE, perfect for big events or family gatherings, and honestly, it looks stunning-very grand and classy.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re after great food, good service, and a beautiful venue!

The food here is absolutely delicious, full of flavor and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The service is quick and friendly, and the place is clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended. ☺️

Poor service (even from a yum cha restaurant) and poor selection of food on offer. Can get better service elsewhere. Takes “bookings” but does not honour them. Why take a booking if only make to wait 40-50 min? Just be upfront on the phone that you don’t take bookings. Was served raw shumai that had to go back to the kitchen. Very little variety in the trollies, was disappointed to see the same food after waiting for another trolley to come around. Wouldn’t waste my time/money at here again.

Yes I’m very sorry but I didn’t enjoy anything here and I’m generally easy to please. Asking for water the waiter seemed unsure if they had any even though we could see bottles available for the table. Most of the staff seemed to struggle with English. The food was fast but just not great for me. Pork belly was cold, duck was Cold, both were returned to reheat, Ribs were just all bone and grisly meat. Chicken feet were just a soggy mess, Soup dumplings just fell apart when I picked them up and were not of a texture that I enjoyed. There were a lot of things tried as well with a party of 8 but nothing to make me return again sadly.
Unfortunately not a place I could recommend to my legion of followers.

The food is cheap and good quality.
Customer service was better than any other Yum Cha restaurant I’ve been to.
The only downside was that I wish there were more variety of food served from the trolleys, as dishes larger than medium size seemed to be available only by ordering.
They offer discounts exclusively for dinner as well so I think I will re- visit for dinner.

The first time we came it was newly opened. The dim sum was quite good. Unfortunately yesterday it is not. The tiny plate of fried tiny squid tentacles was $18 and they added a lot of plain fried batter in the size of 20 cents coin to add volume. I like that the location is very convenient but would I go back for the food? Have to think twice.
