Petite, old-fashioned eatery open only for breakfast & lunch, serving classic American comfort fare.

Small place. Owner is present. Also a smoking bar, but fans are running. Great food options and cooked to order. I was in town for work and this was close to job site. I had the breaded pork tenderloin and it was excellent. Fries weren’t anything special.

It’s dirty and run down. No bathroom without having to go outside and down stairs. Knocked off a couple stars as the cook used her bare hands when handling my food. But aside from that, it tasted great! I had their Biscuits and gravy a couple times and was the best.

Our friends took us here while we were in KC for the Lions vs Chiefs game. They love this diner so we were so excited to try it. As soon as we pulled up, we knew this place was going to be great. A true, old school gem. Our waitress was extremely friendly and gave great service. The energy of that place is just all around fantastic. When you travel, you want to eat where the locals eat. And you can tell this place has a lot of regulars which equals green flags all around. I strongly recommend for anyone looking for a good breakfast spot. We will be back next time we find ourselves in Kansas City.

Whenever you find a hole in the wall place, it is a must that you go. This place is old school which I love deportions. The portions for breakfast are huge And and it’s cozy, just like diners should be. The only thing that cost them a star was that you can smoke inside. I do understand that in Missouri it’s allowed in some places, I personally think where there’s food it shouldn’t be, but again my opinion. Food was good, service was spot on and it’s a diner. The food is very reasonably priced for 2 of us our bill was $30

My friend and I went to Nelle Belle’s for a quick bite and the entire experience was absolutely phenomenal.
My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy special with western scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. I ordered the fried egg sandwich with bacon and cheese. The egg sandwich was delicious and absolutely everything you’d want in a “country egg sandwich”. The biscuits and gravy were great and the scrambled eggs with hashbrowns put it over the top. With both our food, the drinks, and tip-we spent less than $30. The food was exactly what you’d want at a diner. The restaurant is clean, the decor is quirky in a great way, the service was exceptional, and they have really great napkins (I know it seems weird but I really love it when a place has napkins that don’t disintegrate in your hand haha). The staff was also super accommodating when I asked questions and requested a substitution.
Nelle Belle’s is like stepping back into my grandma’s kitchen and being enveloped in the loveliest sense of down home nostalgia.
Please do go visit them, enjoy sitting at the front counter, or tuck away in a back corner table—you won’t be disappointed!!!

From the min we walked into the Nelle Belles diner door, our experience was amazing, this place was like taking a step back in time, the service was awesome, a great scramble omelette breakfast and the prices were competitive. Highly recommend and will return. 5 stars for sure.

Food was good and prices were great. Service was great and well taken care of. Only downfall is the smoking; just no longer used to being in a restaurant and smelling smoke the whole time I ate.

Got a tenderloin[Tenderloin Tuesday)it was served with all toppings including horseradish. Good size, too much breading for my taste, just okay. Got a breakfast also, pancake was okay, a little greasy. If you like diner fair this is your place. Staff courteous and friendly, reasonable prices.

The place is tucked back behind some decorative plants in a weird corner lot. If you don’t pay attention you will blow right by it. It was nice spring weather so they left the doors open. Walking in I was greeted by what I’m assuming are regular people and immediately got a table. I had never been there but I thought the place felt kind of cozy, with randomness on the walls and that old school diner kind of feel. Kind of like town topic with more room and tables. I listened to conversations between the people and the waitress and you could tell she knew them and even remembered their usual orders. It’s usually a good sign when people return often. I ordered a special and added eggs. The food came quickly and it was as good as you would expect it to be. Biscuits and gravy were good and it was enough to fill you up. Eggs were great and the bacon was too but who complains about bacon. The prices were very affordable and I would definitely go back. If you are looking to get away from the jacked up prices of bigger places and just enjoy a meal in a quiet little establishment this is a great place to try. I would have never found it if I hadn’t been near there killing time before an appointment. Glad I found it because places like this are harder to find these days.

Always a great choice. Old time dinner, food is always good, fantastic breakfast and a good burger and fries.
Heads up, they are in a cosmic vortex that allows them to still smoke.
