This is by far some of the best BBQ I have ever had between Ohio and North Carolina. I am not exaggerating either. I had the Hotmess with brisket. The brisket was juicy, smoky and super flavorful. The Mac and cheese and beans were amazing as well. Although they had sauce and they were good, the Hotmess didn’t need it.
The place is in a remodeled Jiffy Lube and I love the vibe with the garage door windows and overall atmosphere. The places smells amazing as well. The staff were all pleasant and respectful. I found out the owner was also prepping alongside his workers and he was an awesome guy too.
I absolutely love this place. I live 45 minutes away but will 100% drive that to have the food again.
10/10 would highly recommend.

I have had SmokeOut a few times and I’ve always been fairly satisfied each time. I was looking forward to trying the bourbon chicken special which is pictured below from their website, however I was underwhelmed and disappointed in the appearance as it did not look like the picture. The taste was ok, a little too much sauce for my liking.

Ok, when you’re a Smoked BBQ joint, and you put birria tacos on the menu, you’re brave or crazy imho. As a foodie and reviewer, when I look at a menu and see something doesn’t fit the traditional mold. I want to try it. Flavor explosion on these tacos … the dipping sauce was tasty…. the over flowing melted cheese sealed the deal….
The peach cobbler. It was average. It was not something that I would reorder. Maybe, I was expecting more from the cobbler after the amazing tacos. I can live without the peach cobbler. Might of been better warm with a scoop of ice cream.
This is quite honestly one the best birria taco in the greater Columbus region.
Service was a tad slow for lunch time.
I will 100% go back and although it’s a bbq place, I’m getting tacos again………….

This place is such a great find! SmokeOut BBQ never misses. Everything I’ve had has been amazing, especially the wings — bold gold, sweet & tangy, and lemon pepper are all . The mac and cheese is so good, and the bacon cheddar cheese fries are a must. I’ve eaten in once but usually order takeout and the quality is always on point. If you’re looking for a solid BBQ spot, this is it. Their weekly specials always look delicious too.

I use to bring my car here for an oil change. Good to see old shop turn in to my summer hobby. Smoke bbq joint. The service and people were fenomenal. Strongly recommend this place. Restrooms kept clean and great smoke for your money.

Smoked Out BBQ is a hidden gem. I had a fantastic experience at a restaurant in Pickerington! Thank you, gentlemen! We visited on a Wednesday night, as the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, and the spacious interior made us comfortable. The cooking time was surprisingly quick.
The food was delicious and flavorful. The brisket was perfectly seasoned, with a rich, smoky flavor, and the coleslaw was excellent. You can have the brisket chopped or sliced to suit you. My wife chose the fries, which were a bit crispy, just because we like them! The flavors were different from what I’m used to, but as a foodie, I appreciate unique takes on the side dishes.
The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. I spent less than $20 per person on dining and truly received great value for my money. This restaurant offers an outstanding dining experience at a great price, making it a must-visit for any barbecue enthusiast.

Give it try, we are very satisfied with the food. Can’t believe we didn’t come in during last 4yrs since only 10min away from our place. Warm welcome from everyone in the kitchen and front. They even offered us free samples with their developing items. We will come back to finish their menus for sure.
