The food was hit or miss late on a weekend afternoon. The fish and chips were ok, the fried chicken sandwich was pretty good, but we sent back the ribs ‘Special’ because they were awful. However the staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable.

We hosted our Wedding Welcome Party at Gulf Stream and it was even better than we could have imagined! The setting was beautiful and relaxed and exactly the vibe we were going for. The tacos were absolutely delicious, and our guests had such a great time. Reada was incredibly flexible, responsive, and super easy to work with throughout the entire planning process, which made everything stress-free. It was the perfect location to kick off our wedding weekend, and we would highly recommend it for any event—or even just a great meal with a view! Thank you, Gulf Stream team!

Beautiful setting. Delicious fish tacos and sweet potato tots. A first. Server was spectacular – fun. Gracious. Attentive. Unfortunately the kitchen was bery slow. We waited nearly an hour for simple fare. Drinks arrived promptly with startling results. All good and lovely experience.will definitely return. Thanks to gracious staff!

On the evening of 12/3 my wife and I had the good fortune to eat at the Gulf Stream Bar and Grille in Portsmouth located at 1 Lagoon Rd this cozy marina side eatery is a hidden gem of the Portsmouth Restaurant scene. To our surprise they had live music provided by “Music by Mel” which was very nice. I had a lovely, canned Field Day rhubarb rose sour cider. For appetizers we shared Jamaican jerk chicken wings which were flavorful and juicy. For dinner I tried the debris Sandwich and my wife had pineapple chicken. My sandwich was tender, slow cooked, pulled beef with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and some of the most delicious house made half sour pickles I’ve had around here. And the few bites of her pineapple chicken I was able to get were extremely tender and flavorful, the yellow rice was also delicious. We are going to try dessert the dessert was fantastic and different from anything we have tried around Town fried plantains with ice cream. The service we received the entire time was fantastic. Our server was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and attentive.

The dollar store plates should have been my cue to not order boldly. Oysters were good, lobster rolls had equal parts celery to lobster and very bland with little to no sauce to it. Gumbo was under seasoned but shrimp was excellent. Smoked chicken sandwich came with no aioli sauce so it was just dry meat on dry (soggy bun). The coleslaw had a giant chunk of shell it it, and not one thing was comped after asking for the sauce for the sandwich or having huge pointy shell in my slaw. 150 spent poorly

The food was just average—nothing special. Service was noticeably slow and items were repeatedly forgotten, which really took away from the experience. What stood out most was the automatic service charge: the ticket listed it as 20%, but when calculated manually, it came out to 21.5%. This was added to our party of five without asking or informing us, even though the menu states it applies only to parties of six or more. Transparency and service definitely need improvement.

Stopped by Gulf Stream Bar and Grille for some lunch for the first time. Went with their fried chicken sandwich. Thought it was pretty good. Had a good crunch. Held up well. Very good portion. Comes on a nice ciabatta roll. Friendly staff and good service.

My husband, our pup and I had the chance to checkout the newly built addition at Gulf Stream this past weekend. What a change! The additional seating is enclosed and heated now accommodating 5-6 more tables and the outdoor bar. It is fantastic. The food arrived super quickly- we ordered sandwiches (mine was the Debris pictured) and they were delicious. The debris has tender roast beef with cheese and horseradish sauce- I love it because it reminds me of my beloved favorite – the beef on week. Relax, have some sips on the new deck and a Sammy or 2 at this awesome dog friendly spot on the water.

What a wonderful place. The staff was polite and friendly and the Nachos were AWESOME. Melissa was our waitress and she was great. Got the Nachos with “debris” which was slow roasted Chuck roast along with the pineapple salsa. Along with Cocktails.

Finally made it to The Gulf Stream Bar & Grille after hearing such great things! Atmosphere is amazing with a beautiful seashells inlay epoxy bar next to the Raw bar. They took the time to explain the different oysters and their origin. Next, we had a delicious stuffie that had the perfect amount of spice. Then we tried the Bean & Corn Salad topped with Lobster Salad that had a good portion of lobster along with a perfectly cooked Ribeye. The Bartenders and Owner were friendly & made us feel so welcomed! There was also live music that gave you the feel you were on vacation. I can’t wait to go back!
