Food was good. Pretty standard fare from what we got. The brisket in the chimichanga needed more flavor IMO. The beer flight was the highlight. Will visit again.

Side note: My wife had her buffalo chicken sandwich plain and her fries were good.

“Riding with the King” was my favorite ale of the 3 I chose. I asked for their hoppiest of beers.

Jen gave us fantastic service while we enjoyed dinner and a drink on the patio. We had the hand breaded mushrooms which were great. We’ve been searching for a couple of years to replace our restaurant that closed after Covid for good hand breaded mushrooms. I’m happy to say that the search is over.
I had the special of Philly Steak Mac and cheese. Creamy cheese sauce and tender steak pieces with onions and peppers. I recommended the steak pieces be cut a little smaller. The cod fish sandwich was well prepared and cooked just right. A bit too much bread, but that’s just me. All in all a very good meal for a reasonable price. Don’t forget to get a Big Lug beer on draft – Pirate Cat for me.

This is a fantastic restaurant. The service was top notch, the food and drinks were phenomenal, and the setting at Christmas time at night was unforgettable.

Food was the least of my first experience here. Had a pleasant interaction with other patrons. The server was pleasant, prompt and attentive without being annoying. The atmosphere fits the ale house name. We’ll definitely give it a second shot.During the summer months and used the patio.

Overall I really like this place and the vibe they are going for. They have a solid menu with lots of brewpub staples along with a solid selection of different beers from Big Lug. I really enjoyed my stir fry, though the brussel sprout side was a bit undercooked. The restaurant is deceptively large, but they felt a little understaffed while we were there, and they did not have a receptionist working. We basically walked in and waited near the entryway for a waitress to walk by to show us to a table. Service was friendly though, and we got our food pretty quickly once ordered. The place is kid friendly and my daughters really enjoyed their pasta and chicken tenders.

Quaint. Food is really good and the in house beer is fantastic. It’s a fully stocked bar with many top shelf choices including a decent selection of scotches. What really makes this place stand out is the menu is vast and everything is really good. I’ve never had a bad meal here.

Refined pub with wonderful food, pleasant, friendly and attentive staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The 8 ounce sirloin was grilled to perfection. Highly recommend!

Overall I’d give this place a 6.5/10. It wasn’t terrible but not my favorite. Service was good and we were sat immediately. I ordered the waffle with blueberries, biscuits & gravy, and their coffee cake. My husband got the cinnamon raisin French toast, hash browns, and a mimosa. The biscuits and gravy had decent flavor but the biscuit was really hard and difficult to chew. Waffle was nice and crisp which was nice. However the blueberries were not very good and had a weird flavor. The server was friendly and the place was clean. I’d try again.

Great place for brunch or lunch. Tried cabbage beef during Saint Patrick’s day and it was excellent. I really like onion rings at the downtown location because they are crispy and lightly breaded. At VWC location I did not like onion rings because they were heavily breaded and oily.
