As a Nepali, this is the most authentic nepali street food I’ve had!
If you like sour and spicy, you MUST try their chicken tama momo. Lip smacking delicious
I also usually always get their chicken jhir. Their appetizers come with मुरी and टिम्मुर छोप (rice puff and sichuan pepper) is really good

I usually see only one server who’s taking care of everything but she is really friendly. Don’t hesitate to wave to get her attention if you need something. Spicy means spicy here so begin with somewhere in the middle if you’re adventurous.

We went on Christmas Day. Some items were not available. There were only a few vegetarian options, but more non-vegetarian ones. The place was good. The veg momos could have been better, but they weren’t bad. The service wasn’t too bad either. The soya added on Chowmein was the best in taste. Need to go again another day. Overall, the food was good.

One of the most authentic Nepalese restaurants around. The food was fresh, and you can really taste the quality in every dish. The chatpate dish and CHK Kothey Momo were amazing—full of flavor and perfectly balanced. We tried different kinds of momos and Noodles, both vegetarian and chicken, steamed as well as fried, and everything tasted great. or may be we were supper hungry hahaha

The staff were very accommodating and took the time to explain the local menu items, which made the experience even better. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for genuine Nepalese flavors!

If you want to try the Nepalese cusine in Houston, this is the spot. 100% authentic and the decor and music all adds to that atmosphere.
The spice level is from 1 – 5 and I requested a 1 and they were spot on without compromising on taste.
We tried their Chilli Veg Momo, Veg Jhol Momo and Nepal Street food aloo Chatpati. Each dish was delicious and my kids were having the cusine for the 1st time and loved it.
They give 10 mom’s in each of their dish. These 3 dishes were enough to fill 2 adults and 2 kids.
Very reasonably priced.
We will be going back again!

I tried the their steam chicken momo..I don’t know what watery transparent liquid was in there, it ruined the entire taste. This was my first and last order. I threw it off. Wasted my money. See in the picture, what is this watery thing bitter in taste, may be vinegar?

Very Delicious. I loved everything I ordered. Fried chili momos were sooooo good. I got level 4 spice and they were definitely spicy in a good way. Also loved the pan fried chicken Momo and the orange sauce that comes with it. The steamed buffalo momos in the yellow sauce (Jhol Momo) was also good with a delicious flavor and seasoning to the meat. I think the yellow soup it comes with tastes better with the red hot sauce it came with. Regardless, I came back two days in a row bc everything was so good. It was my first time there and the girl taking my order was really helpful and made good recommendations. This was my 1st time trying Nepalese food and I will be back.

An Authentic Nepalese Gem – A Must-Visit!

I can confidently say Momo Houses is the real deal. The flavours are rich, authentic, and bursting with traditional spices. Portions are big, and the staff are incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. It truly feels like a home away from home.

I recently took my host along, and she absolutely fell in love with the place. It was a joy to see someone new experience such genuine hospitality and incredible food.

One important note: please respect the kitchen hours. Calling ahead is basic courtesy, and turning up at 9:25 PM with 10 guests unannounced is unacceptable. If it were up to me, I’d turn you away in a heartbeat! A place this special deserves to be treated with the same respect it offers every guest.

This place rocks. Super friendly wait staff. Tasty beers I haven’t tried before. The Buffalo chilly momo and the Buffalo johl momo were both amazing! Never had a momo similar to them before. Chicken Thenduk was a rich, delicious chicken soup with carrots and potato’s. An absolutely delicious meal.

Highly recommended! Their Momos are amazing! I had never had Nepalese specialty food, momos, which are sort of like dumplings but I had heard good reviews and got multiple recommendations from Nepalese friends. We ordered Vegetarian momos with spicy chilli flavour and pan fried chicken momos. Additionally, we ordered vegetarian and chicken thaalis/platters. The momos were amazing. I am not a big chicken eater but i really enjoyed the chicken momos with spicy sauces.
