Excellent excellent excellent!!!! The atmosphere was wonderful. Loved all the decor!!! Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable. They do have a tasty gluten free noodle and pizza. I did the pasta because Tuesdays is buy one pasta get second 50% off. Big portions. Had to get to go boxes. Everyone was satisfied with the meal. The sauce isn’t super sweet which I prefer but it was still very tasty and authentic. The bread my husband wasn’t a fan of. It didn’t have any butter or oil or anything on top of it.

Three or four times a year I do an overnight road trip on my own. I usually take the interstates to a city. The next day I will bring back roads home to middle TN. I’ve been a resident of middle TN for 29 years but I was raised in northern IL(NIL). If there was one unique premium every NIL town had it was a local tavern and/or restaurant that served pizza. Every establishment with a unique take on the Italian comfort food.
On the majority of my overnight road trips I try to find the best local pizza joint. Tonight I stopped in Christiansburg VA and decided to try Sandro’s. First I’ll say this was two nights before a major winter storm was predicted and the entire area was overwhelmingly busy. Considering I had never ordered here I called to make sure my order was clear. I ordered a medium(14″) The Works pizza, which I ordered well done, and a Philly cheese steak sub.
The sub couldn’t have been any better. Unfortunately the pizza was below par. First I ordered it well done, which in my opinion would be a crispy crust and golden brown, bubbling, cheese. The toppings were not cooked and the cheese was just barely melted. The crust was soft and soggy. Also the cheese and toppings stopped within an inch of the crust. Therefore I received a small pizza on top of a medium crust.
If I’m ever in this town again I would come back for the sub but never for the sub par over priced pizza.

The good was great and little disappointed in their sausage they cut it so thin you don’t really taste it but the cheese and other stuff helped make me not disappointed. And the lemon desert was so so good. Must go back.

This place is an absolute gem. You can really feel the heart behind this small, family-run Italian restaurant the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit.
The food is outstanding — fresh ingredients, generous portions, and flavors that taste truly homemade. You can tell everything is made with care, not rushed or mass-produced. From the pasta to the sauces, every bite was comforting.
It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right: great food, friendly service, and a genuine passion for what they do. Supporting small businesses like this is a no-brainer. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone I know.

We stopped here on way back to Richmond. Great service and good. We split the club salad and pizza roll. Dessert was the lemon dessert. Very good!

Authentic or as close to authentic Italian pizza. Very delicious and made well. We got a personal size margherita with anchovies and a personal size grandma pizzas well done. They were busy so it took a few extra minutes but well worth the wait. Service by Emily was terrific. Very friendly staff. Had great espresso coffee too. Cost was a bit more only due to getting beer otherwise it’s about $20 pp. I gave 4 stars ⭐️for atmosphere. It’s a bit dated but very clean. Not upscale so very kid friendly. Highly recommend.

Our food was very good! We had calamari, pepperoni pizza and a bianco pizza with pepperoni and banana peppers. My only complaints were that the pizzas were very greasy, and the $3.00 up charge for each of the toppings is kind of a rip off and overpriced. Plus happy hour is until 6pm and my drink was full price even though we were there from 4-5:30 on Friday. Next time we are in town we will just do takeout, if we choose to eat here again.

Pretty good pizza it’s not bad I’ll give it a seven out of 10. I don’t like their meatball subs tho. The kids slices are a good deal because you get a slice of pizza pictured for $2.50 apiece and $1.25 for most toppings

It’s good, nothing super special, but decent Italian food. The focaccia bread and marcello pasta (pictured) was good, bread was just a little dry on the outside, like it had been sitting out for a long while. The chicken in the pasta was fine, not fantastic but not dry and tough.
Service was okay, but very delayed (after we were seated immediately).

We have a new favorite restaurant! We had amazing food, amazing service from our waitress, Julyeth! The calamari is the best we have ever had. I really liked their antipasto salad! My husband enjoed the seafood soup but their big menu had so many choices and all with such fresh food. We will definitely be going back! Wonderful atmosphere with such nice music to relax to.
