I have been to this little hole in the wall for a few yrs now & have never left a review… It sits on the Lohman ford rd & 1431 right @ the heart of Lago Vista, when in this area I have to stop for a bite, now everything on the menu looks delicious but my absolute favorite is the migas taco. I’m on the road a lot for work & by far this place nails it. The food is made to order the & hot. But the must try is the migas taco. A tortilla filled with crunchy tortilla chips mixed with eggs,jalapeños,onions,tomatoes & topped with cheese man it’s so good… You will not be disappointed & don’t forget the habanero sauce & leave her a tip… heads up you only need one I always take the challenge & order two just to not finish

Great spot for BBQ and other types of food as well. I stop in almost every weekend or every other weekend to get myself a big Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast Meal and they never Disappoint. There’s a large selection to choose from and the staff is Exceptional. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

I got an order of pinto beans today. That’s all. But I’m telling you, those were the best pinto beans I have ever had in my 61 years on this earth. I don’t ever have to have anything else from that restaurant, even though everything else is good. The pinto beans were unforgettable. I called them and tried to finagle the recipe, because although I have made pinto beans, 1 million times, they’ve never been this good. I’m thinking it may have something to do with the smoked turkey and sausage, and the vegetables of course. But if you don’t get anything else, get the pinto beans.

Staying in Lago Vista for a couple nights and returning from a morning hike at the wildlife refuges in Marble Falls, stopped by for lunch on the way back, almost missed it because it was connected to a gas station, but can’t miss it if you see the yellow gas station otherwise. We ordered the BBQ burger plate, Brisket&Sausage plate, and the bowl special. Everything was pleasantly fresh and juicy. All drinks included.

This place is legit. My friends and I ordered chicken fried steak, fried catfish, brisket taco, & chopped beef sandwich (with okra, mashed potatoes, green beans, and corn fritters). It was all DELICIOUS! Highly recommended! It is an unassuming place to eat. Don’t let the fact it’s attached to a convenience store fool you either. Lots of people came to eat here; the place was packed by 5:20pm.

10 pieces of fried to order chicken for 11.99. Hard to believe fresh fried chicken for such a price. Of course you have to wait 15 minutes for it to be made. The catfish was done just right with a side of tots and a slaw that wasn’t as sweet as common around here. Owner’s burger appeared to be a patty melt for a bargain price. Nachos had shredded BBQ meat rather than hamburger. I would order any of them again.

Never would have guessed one of the best al pastor tacos come from this little out of the way place. Great views of the hill country, attached to a gas station, the folks a super friendly and service was quick.
