We probably showed up here around 11am on a Saturday, there was no wait. You order at the counter and then sit at a numbered table and they will bring it to you. Very friendly staff. I would say the food was good (average). Savory and warm. I knocked off a point on the food since they had to substitute shredded cheese because they ran out of curds, however… I wouldn’t mind but they need to put an equivalent amount of shredded cheese. I would recommend the bacon ranch chicken savory crepe. They also have a really cute kids corner for the little ones! Points for family friendly atmosphere!

We were looking for a breakfast place in Stowe around noontime and most of the places were already done serving breakfast. We kind of stumbled upon The Skinny Pancake while on our drive to town and called to see if they had gluten free options and were so excited to find out they did for our daughter with celiac. Upon entering you can instantly feel the Vermont warmth and style with the exposed wood, fresh made coffee from Artisan brand and smell of fresh crepes. The service was friendly and the crepes were delicious! My daughter loved her gluten free Chocolate Hazelnut crepe and asked to come back again! The vegetable crepe was so tasty and flavorful. Highly recommend this place!

Delicious crepes! Beautiful and cozy place, our food came fast and we loved! Staffs were friendly and accommodating. A lot of vegan options as well. We tried “Cheesy Chicken Pesto”, “Johnny Crepe”, “Breakfast Monster” and “Heartbreaker”, all amazing!

The Skinny Pancake – Downtown Stowe, VT
I am very mixed about this restaurant:
Positives – Great tasting Food, Great looking serving area and very pleasant servers.
Negatives – The food seems to be slightly more expensive than it should be for the portion size that we received…but with the way things are right now…that’s a hard call to make a major complaint about. What I will complain about is that you are expected to serve your own beverages (coffee and water). By signs on each table and by the host/server you are also GREATLY encouraged to order and pay for your own food using an QR Code and your cell phone. The restaurant encourages an 18%-30% tip for the front of the house staff to basically bring your food, pour your beer/wine and for double checking that everything with the food was okay (at 18% this meant they received $4.50).
Neutral – I DID NOT mind paying a 2% back of House Staff tip ($0.50) since, truly from my perspective, they were doing most of the work.
Including our table there was only 4 tables being served with 1 hour to go before the restaurant closed at 2pm. So, I understand that they didn’t have much to do while they casually talked to each other and on their phones. What did disturb me was that I could see the back of the house staff moving quickly “working their butts off” trying to get the food out to their customers while only receiving 10% of my $5.00 tip.
I took a moment to check their bathroom….great looking…great smelling hand soap, but the bathroom itself smelled of having been used a lot during the previous 5 hours and needed a good cleaning, especially from the urine smells near the toilet.
Would I come back, not at these prices and portion sizes…but this restaurant has a nice concept that is slightly unique that I did enjoy. It could definitely be a winning idea with some changes. The number one suggestion is that I suggest some conceptional managerial changes and some staff teammate training so that the front of house and the back of house workloads are more equalized. If not…then the percentage of the sharing of tips should be more like 50-50 between the front and back of house staff.

I will admit, I miss McCarthy’s so I may be a bit biased. Atmosphere is very open, clean and staff is friendly. The layout is well done. The service model takes a bit to get used to. You first have to get a table, then you can either order from phone or go up to counter. Water is self serve. So for large family can be a bit of an inconvenience. The food came out very quickly by staff and looked great. Crepes were very tasty. One thing I was not happy about was the bacon, 3 pieces of bacon for $4.50. Where as a side on homefries was $6.50 and more than plentiful for two to share. Kids loved all the different crepes

The Skinny Pancake is right up there with being one of the best breakfast spots in Stowe! I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out, specifically if you love crêpes: that’s what this restaurant is known for! We have been here multiple times (and other locations) and have always been very happy with our meal. You just order at the counter and the food comes out very fast – it’s perfect if you’re just wanting a quick breakfast before you head out for the day and explore Stowe/Smuggs/Waterbury or beyond! It really doesn’t matter if you choose a sweet or savory crêpe – we’ve had both and they’re always excellent. And they even have gluten-free crêpes as well, which is awesome! Our favorites are the Hot Apple Crumble, Blueberry Pie, Lovemaker (add strawberries as well), Johnny Crepe, K-Pop, and Apple and Brie! All in all, fantastic little restaurant, and one you definitely need on your list next time you’re in Stowe!

Great breakfast place in Stowe VT. 5 minutes walk from the main thoroughfare. The Buffalo chicken crepe was awesome. The breakfast sandwich my wife had was fried egg and bacon with a garlic aioli and it was excellent. This place had a great selection of coffees and some breakfast cocktails as well.

Came here for the first time last week. And I’m so glad I ignored the negative reviews. The place was cozy and clean. They even have a kid’s corner. Bathroom was also clean. Ordering our food was fast and easy. You can do it online or at the counter. There were two servers working that Thursday morning. They were so warm and accommodating especially we’re just passing thru. The place wasn’t packed we were lucky to avoid the early morning people. Food came in fast as well. It was delicious! Fresh and locally sourced. Even approved by my picky toddler. That we had to order some for the road.

Went here for brunch at around 11am on a Friday. Not busy, they were very quick with our food. This is the type of restaurant where you order your food at the counter and seat yourself. The crepes are delicious and they have a great variety, including savory, sweet, and breakfast specific. We got the Noah’s Ark, the Apples and Brie, the Johnny Crepe and the breakfast burrito, all of which were fantastic. Wide variety of drinks including beer, cocktails, wine, and CBD drinks. The bathrooms were also very clean which was pleasant. I would definitely recommend and would for sure come back if I’m in the area again.
