The brownies look like it oxidized. I took a knife and scraped the insides and it was just crumbing. My friend and I could even finish a lil nibble and spit out. The lemon bar looked like either the frosting was mixed thoroughly or it’s been so long it started to separate. The sugar cookie tasted funky as well. I dunno what’s going on but we definitely aren’t coming back.

Ordered a few cupcakes to go after grabbing some food from the grill. The two shops are connected inside with a central checkout area. The girl at the grill was friendly. The guy who checked me out at the bakery, not so much. He didn’t really want to answer my questions, so i just got a few things and went on my way. The cupcakes look a lot better than they tasted, unfortunately. All 3 had a pile of hard frosting on top. As you can see in the picture, it just crumbles and falls apart. Sadly, we will not be back. I hate to leave a bad review this early, but there just wasn’t anything good about the experience.

I read the other reviews. I’m surprised. The service issue and German Chocolate issue must have been one time mistakes. I live local to this bakery. In my opinion, the hard icing they are talking about is somewhere between homemade soft icing and fondant icing. It wasn’t hard. It was just thick like you get in gourmet shops. It was yummy. I tried several different cupcakes and cakes since they opened. I have done extensive baking and cooking for charity and large get togethers or groups. My husband comes from a family of bakers who had their own shop. The cakes and cupcakes from this restaurant are really good. Are they super cheap. Nope. Of course when I’m looking to buy bakery items I don’t mind paying a little more for quality. Who wants to serve family or guests questionable quality cakes or bakery items? Not me. I’m sure what those other reviewers experienced was their honest experience and reviews. I just think it was isolated stuff. I have frequented this shop a lot and that has never been my experience. We have never had any issues.
This bakery is attached to a restaurant. There is free parking right outside the doors. It has a dedicated parking lot. The area is safe and just off the highway. The store and restaurant are accessible. You can preorder special orders at this store for holidays and special days. This restaurant is close to multiple other shops and restaurants.
The store also sells premade fresh frozen meals for take home. I will be trying those soon and will post a review.
For our visit, the service and food were great! Restaurant was very clean! We loved our cupcakes and cake! Yum! We bought a salted caramel cupcake, a German chocolate cupcake, a vanilla birthday cake flavored cupcake, an eclair, a key lime cake slice, a red velvet cake slice, and a chocolate cupcake. Our family loved them all. The cupcakes came in a cute pink box that had a special bottom that stabilized the cupcakes in the box (no smooshed cupcakes). Thank you. Everything was excellent. Everything was fresh and moist. I would definitely go to this bakery again.
I only think one thing is an issue with this restaurant. Aesthetically it’s very plain & vanilla. This bakery needs some bakery pizaz in decor. Then it would be fantastic. They should also decorate it for the different holidays. The entrance is cute. I like the bakery cases and lights over them. It just needs some decor. It would be awesome if they sold coffee cups or other things with their brand on them as well.

Visited this past weekend. The aesthetic does not meet the taste. The buttercream frosting was the cheap form of buttercream (aka Crusting Buttercream). You could taste the high ratio shortening and powder sugar. The cake itself was dry. Very disappointing a not worth the price. The service by staff was excellent.

I cannot speak to how the food is because the person at the counter failed to offer the price on the buy 4 for $11 deal that is offered on their website. I showed her the website and what the price is and she immediately called her supervisor, who was asked to verify the website and price over the phone. What an absolute poor excuse for customer service. If the service is this bad I cannot imagine how bad the quality of food must be. They actually wanted to haggle over $1. I would be embarrassed to be affiliated with this organization. I would avoid this establishment at all costs.

In the mood for savory, they have a ham and cheese roll that fits the bill.

Our experience was great! The staff was gracious in accommodating our group, Brit and Katie. The area was clean. Our server Katie was very attentive, even with other tables to serve. The food came out without a problem. The cook(s) did well! (We had break and lunch items) I’m looking forward to return. (I was hesitant because of the 2 star rating, but I believe whatever the issues were that they were taken care of).

We wanted to try for the first time. Although the atmosphere was ok, there was no warm greeting. Normally, I would leave but we gave it a go. Almost like they were in a rush to complete the sale. Not the best first time experience
A chocolate turtle cupcake, a peanut butter cookie, and a m&m cookie were purchased. They lacked sweetness and flavor. Very nice packaging but underwhelming taste.

Oh my goodness! Their Lemon Chess bar is sooooo delicious! I’m in town for an event and I wanted something sweet to eat before retiring to my hotel room! I stopped to go to Subway but saw this little gem and decided to go inside! When I walked in, I saw all of these desserts wrapped up like they were freshly baked from my kitchen! I decided to try the lemon chess bar! I wished I’d bought more than one! I’m eating it slowly to savor every crumb!! So, so delicious! If I wasn’t so tired I’d go back out to purchase more but next time I’m back in the area, this sweet spot will be my first stop! Oh yeah…the waitress/cashier was just as sweet as my lemon chess bar! Praying great success for Lil’ Dutch bakery!

I drive by this place everyday on my drive. I wanted to give this place a try and buy a few sweets for the family. It was a disappointing experience. The customer service was nonexistent, and the food, consisting of two cupcakes and one cookie, was underwhelming. Overall, not worth the visit.
