Avatara was not just dinner. It was theater, intention, and craftsmanship on a plate.

I enjoyed the full 17 course vegan tasting menu and every course had purpose. The pacing, the storytelling, the textures. This was not vegetables pretending to be something else. This was vegetables elevated with confidence.

What made the night even more special was the chef personally coming to our table multiple times. When one of the dishes really hit home, he offered to bring it again. That small gesture turned a great meal into a memorable one. It felt personal. It felt proud.

As someone who travels often and actively seeks out Michelin experiences, I can say this was a highlight of our Dubai trip. For a vegetarian restaurant to hold a Michelin star and deliver at this level says everything.

If you appreciate precision, creativity, and unapologetic excellence, Avatara belongs on your list.

Bravo to the entire team.

– One line, if you haven’t tried this restaurant, a must-visit and have their 17-course meal.
– Great service
– We planned a family dinner, ran late 45 minutes, and they proactively accommodated us, and we still had a complete experience.
– All the staff at Avatara is exceptional when it comes to service.
– They use WhatsApp and continuously update you with any questions you may have.
– Food: once of the best I ever had in my life.
– Drinks are fantastic too.
– Predeep, Sumit, Ninad, and other staff( sorry I can not remember everyone’s name), but they explained to us all the dishes and how to enjoy.
– The atmosphere for the dining was lovely.
– Valet parking is great, location is easy to get to except please consider Dubai traffic if you are coming from far.
– This dinner was every penny worth it. Great value for money.
– No wait time for us. Our table was ready in 2 minutes.

Dining at Avatara is nothing short of extraordinary. As Dubai’s first Michelin-starred vegetarian restaurant, Avatara redefines plant-based fine dining with elegance, creativity, and soul. Every course feels like a carefully composed story, rooted in Indian tradition yet presented with modern artistry.

The tasting menu is a journey—each dish bursting with layered flavors, impeccable balance, and thoughtful presentation. It’s hard to believe there is no meat on the menu when the depth, richness, and complexity of flavors rival (and often surpass) any fine-dining experience in the city.

The service is warm, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable, with staff taking the time to explain the inspiration behind each dish and ingredient. The ambiance is serene and refined, allowing the food to truly take center stage.

Avatara isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience that celebrates sustainability, innovation, and the beauty of vegetarian cuisine. A must-visit for food lovers like us and our family. Truly deserving of every bit of its Michelin recognition. ✨

Avatara presents the best dinning/tasting experience for complete vegetarian options. The 17 course tasting menu brings traditional flavours of India in a totally different presentation. The drinks were out of the world. The experience of the whole presentation is brilliant and it keeps knocking you off your feet with flavourful bites. Each one the best than the previous. A must experience for all foodies and explorers in general.

Amazing service and incredible Experience! First time visiting Dubai and I couldn’t wait to try this highly rated Michelin starred vegetarian restaurant. Wasn’t feeling well so I had to cancel same day we were scheduled, but I was not leaving Dubai without trying again. Still not 100% but scheduled again before heading back home. I was only able to try 12 of the dishes, but they were so delicious. I was sad not to be able to finish. My husband who is not vegetarian loved every dish and had a hard time finishing. He eats a lot so for him to be really full!
If we ever visit Dubai again, we will definitely come back. Thanks for making our anniversary special!

What an amazing experience. The service was immaculate, the food was perfection. The tasting menu was exactly the perfect amount of small portions. I didn’t get uncomfortably full like you do in many of the Michelin star restaurants. I very much enjoyed the way the food was presented, so creative.
For me, there were many standouts like Truffle, Aubergine, Banana… Surprisingly, no dishes I didn’t enjoy.
There were a few changes made to accommodate my gluten sensitivity. And in very short notice, I should add.
What I loved especially, was the fact that they noticed that I am left handed. Without saying anything they just positioned my spoon on the left side every time it was needed. Small details, great impact.
I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant.

Superb restaurant. It has beautifully crafted menu which is not overpowering but still maintains the feel of Indian food. When you eat it, you instantly recognise that you know the taste from the last food experience but presentation and combination is mind blowing. Staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. Well done.

If you are vegan, this will probably be one of the best vegan meals you will ever have. If you are a meat eater too.
Avatara has one michelin star – the first for an indian vegetarian restaurant – but I guarantee it will blow your mind and your expectations.
The meal consists of 17 dishes beautiful and delicious. There is a little illustrated booklet that explains the main ingredients of each course. I had the vegetarian menu, my partner the vegan one (and the chef told us he can do gluten free as well).
The set up was theater style we were facing the chefs – which was fitting to the whole experience.
Wine parings per glass worked well. Also the non alcoholic options for my partner.
We asked to pause the service twice since we needed time to digest all that was happening 😉 You won’t go hungry.
And then the most unexpected happened: at the end of the savoury dishes, we were asked if we wanted to repeat any of the previous dishes, our favourites. My partner took on the offer which was really appreciated. This is unique and very generous.
The deserts were incredible and not to spoil the whole experience, I post only one picture of the whole dinner.
The staff were all wonderful and friendly providing and an amazing service. Thank you so much to the whole team it was an unforgettable meal.
Unmissable if you go to Dubai.
(we are still flying back home and we look forward to open the send off bag 😉

Visited on a Wednesday night with a friend who’s been many times to this extraordinary restaurant — and now I understand why. Avatara may hold one Michelin star, but in my opinion, it truly deserves more. Having recently dined at several three-star restaurants in Shanghai and Munich, I can confidently say that the level of creativity, precision, and emotion here stands proudly among them.

Each dish at Avatara is a revelation — an explosion of India’s finest flavors reinterpreted through a modern and sophisticated lens. The balance of spices, the harmony of textures, and the play of colors all reflect an exceptional culinary vision. It’s not just food; it’s art — deeply rooted in tradition yet boldly contemporary.

Chef Omkar is the soul of this experience. Extremely kind and passionate, he took the time to share his philosophy and creative process with us — an unforgettable moment that only deepened our appreciation of the journey he creates. Unique ingredients, unexpected pairings, and entirely new taste sensations — this is haute cuisine at its most inspired.

The staff are warm, professional, and impeccably presented. Service flows seamlessly, attentive yet unobtrusive, perfectly complementing the serene and elegant atmosphere.

Avatara is far more than a restaurant; it’s an experience that touches all the senses. Please, don’t miss this gem — it redefines what Indian fine dining can be.

Thank you, Chef Omkar and team. See you again soon.
