We ordered the scallops, which were beautifully cooked and paired with an excellent sauce. The Crab Egg Benedict and the omelette were also great—flavorful and generously portioned. The service was warm and attentive, which made the whole experience feel even more welcoming.
Really enjoyed our experience here, and I’m already looking forward to coming back to try their dinner menu next time.
We had a table by the waterfront and it was a perfect night out for a romantic dinner.
The Hamachi crudo was ok, nothing to write home about. All the sushi was imitation crab. No variety for the oysters. My risotto was undercooked and extremely citrus forward. $200 for an app, two beers, two entrees, 1 dessert.
Late review but wanted to be sure to share my experience at Shorebird!
Food: Nashville Hot chicken sandwich was nice and crispy, prefer a little more spice for Nashville but good flavor overall 4/5.
Great sushi specials that are fresh and filling!
Drinks had the perfect mix of booze and flavor. I don’t see a carajillo on the menu anymore but pretty sure that is what I had 🙂
The bar area is near the entrance not by the water. I ended up moving to the patio area to enjoy the rest of the meal following happy hour. Very accommodating!
The service? Impeccable. Our server was warm, attentive, and knew the menu inside and out (pro tip: get the wood-grilled branzino or the spicy tuna crispy rice—you’ll thank me later). The cocktail menu is equally impressive. I had the “Last Bird,” and it was like sipping vacation in a glass.
What I love most is the location: right off Coast Highway with easy valet and close to Lido Marina Village. It’s walkable, scenic, and screams Newport luxe living.
As a local realtor based in Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, I always recommend Shorebird to my clients who are relocating or house hunting in the area. It’s the perfect place to soak in the local lifestyle whether you’re celebrating, brunching, or just vibing by the water.
If you ever want more local recommendations like this, feel free to reach out. I love showing off the best of our beachside community.
