We visited Happy Bowl for the first time this evening and we will definitely be returning customers! We had Pad Thai, Drunkin Noodles, and a Thai tea. All sooooo good! The owners are so sweet and welcoming. Can’t wait for our second visit!

Tried this restaurant for the first time because I saw it had good reviews, and I can see why. The food was delicious, brought out quick, and big servings. The family was really nice who owns it and works there. It’s kind of a “hole in the wall” sort of place in terms of atmosphere but the food was delicious, prices were right, and we’ll definitely be revisiting!

Go for the the really good food at cheap prices. This is truly a hidden gem, in a nondescript strip center on White Settlement Road, closer to the plant than 820. It’s a grandmom-and-grandpop operation, with assistance from the son and daughter-in-law, as best I can tell from three visits now. How much of a family business? The cashier area has been turned into a place for the granddaughter to spend her time in while she’s there. The atmosphere isn’t much — a few things hanging on the walls, a plastic plant by the door, a few tables and booths. But the food is really good, and really cheap. Last year, a server at Thailicious recommended Panang curry, and it immediately became one of the items on my last-meal list. It’s been good everywhere I have tried it, and it was really good at Happy Bowl. For the unfamiliar, it’s meat (I like chicken chunks) in a coconut milk-based broth that’s sweet yet flavorful, with your standard choice of 1-5 seasoning. Level 2 was a bit much for me, so I’ll drop down next time, but two glasses of sweet Thai tea eased the fire. My wife got the garlic chicken, and my son the orange chicken, and both said theirs was really good. Fried rolls for an appetizer and a tip (we usually only get water when we dine out) brought the total damage to about $60.

The food at this little hole in the wall is off the chain!! We just ordered Pad Woon Sen and Red Curry. Insane. It was the best pad woon sen that I have ever eaten. The tofu was crispy and the flavors incredible. We liked it so much that we ordered 5 more dishes to go, just so we could try them all later! The place is pretty non-descript but don’t let that get turn you away. This is the best Thai.

Small restaurant, appears to be family owned/operated. service was a bit slow as I came in at lunch time and there was only one other table that was waiting for a to go order. Another lady came in for a Togo order. I ordered the egg drop soup and some steamed rice. The large bowl was a good serving but some of the eggs (which there was plenty) had a bit of a scorched taste. It didnt ruin the overall taste of the soup, which has a stronger fish flavor. The steamed rice was cooked correctly. Overall it was a pleasant experience until the (son?) came in and kicked on the stereo and started playing songs of praise (not exactly my choice in music) at a volume that was a bit too loud with a bit too much base. I was enjoying the quiet atmosphere so the music was not needed and the volume/base was off putting.
Overall the experience was middle of the road, but I had a fairly bland order. Can’t really comment on the normal fare.

The food was a 20/10‼️ Will absolutely be telling everyone I know about this spot and dragging everyone here with me! It was so good we ordered 4 more entrees to take home for dinner.

If you haven’t been to Happy Bowl you are missing out. My husband got chicken fried rice and I got kung pao chicken. The lunch specials include an egg roll. You can choose your spice level. I got a 2 and it was almost too spicy for me but delicious nonetheless.

The lady who took my order was very friendly & focused more on getting me a good deal than maximizing profit. The spicy drunken noodles are fantastic, and if you get the lunch special it costs less than $10. Really filling portion, and it took them less than 10 mins to make my food. My only complaint is that there weren’t enough customers. Y’all are missing out

The food is excellent and portions are generous. Highly recommend for takeout. But be wary of the spice level. I guess it depends on the cook or what chiles are in season, but sometimes you order a 4 and it’s mild, another time you order a 4 and it’s so hot to the point that it will eat through your esophagus after a few bites. The pad woon-sen and jungle curry are highlights. Dine-in can be spotty because they have somewhat weird hours and the AC doesn’t always keep up. Great hole in the wall.

They could sell these plates for 3 times the price in a different venue. Best Thai food I’ve ever had. I love you Happy Bowl
