There aren’t many options if you want fine-dining food at family restaurant prices. Le Central has been a go-to favorite of mine for many years, and I had the pleasure of dining there again recently. We had a party of 12 and they took very good care of us. We ate like royalty in a setting that is comfortable and fancy at the same time.

They usually have many options for escargot, and all of them are good. Don’t be afraid to branch out and try your snails in a different sauce or style. Any of their pates are also amazing. Save room for appetizers.

They’ll work to make sure you’re happy, but that isn’t hard. Entrees and desserts are so very good, and they don’t break the bank.

Keep Le Central on your list of favorites because the menu changes all the time. Yum!

The food is always very good…not great but worth the price. The Mussels are a great deal and very reasonably priced, big portions also. The rest of the food varies and can sometimes be great and at other times passable. The specials and the special dinners can pricey. We’ve always had great service and the wine list is not overpriced. I recommend them.

I don’t understand why this restaurant is rated so high. This was not my first time at Le Central, but it was the first time my family had gone. I had a better experience going there for my birthday with my best friend years and years ago – so I had pumped up the place a bit to my family. We went on a Thursday night and it was not busy so we were seated right away. The hostess was friendly and we were excited to dive into our “Night in Paris”. The waiter was nice, but quiet and not very helpful. He did not discuss any parts of the menu, did not offer suggestions, and did not explain the specials for the evening.

The wine list was impressive and my husband had a Cabernet that was dynamite. I wanted something summery and had the sangria, which was out of this world good.

There were a ton of flies all over the place, that was a bit distracting. Overall the restaurant seemed clean, but just couldn’t get over how many flies there were inside.

My husband’s dish was ok, nothing to write home about. My salad was good, but the sauce was clumpy on the bottom which detracted from the “light” summer salad I was expecting. The french bread was good, but you could tell they took a loaf that was going to be used for sandwiches (had a horizontal slice in it) and was converted into appetizer slices and served. The biggest disappointment was my son’s seafood dish – the mussels were super gritty and he would not eat them. I was the mussel buckets being ordered left and right so they seem popular, I can only assume that our order of mussels was overlooked in the cleaning. No one else seemed to have issues. But it was definitely not worth the “affordable” $20 per plate for the experience. I assume our experience is the exception and not the rule, since other people have found this restaurant a five star experience. My family and I, however, will not be back.

Was a bit skeptical when I walked in, however, this place is great. Wine is very reasonably priced and the bowl of mussels is awesome. Service was really good as well. Our waiter took the time to explain things to us and recommend things that weren’t the most expensive but genuinely what he felt was best. Will be back for sure

I had an absolutely wonderful three hour dinner here with friends last night. The servers were helpful when we had questions, friendly, provided excellent service and never once made us feel rushed which was Greatly appreciated since sometimes you just want to enjoy great food and wine and talk for hours! Try to sit on the patio, it’s enclosed, air conditioned, light, airy, and beautiful! The highlights were most definitely their charcuterie plate, excellent affordable wine choices, and desserts. Talk about a caramel sauce. It was perfect in every way – creamy, silky, golden. It was extremely hard not to lick my plate clean of the stuff. I’ll be back often!

I never had Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant, but let me tell you – this is the place to go. Yes, they had the American version of Thanksgiving, but when I saw and smelled the French food, I was hooked. Carmen, our server, was polite, informed, funny and helped us to make our choices which we all shared. I had the awesome salmon which was over the top good!

We were spoiled, thanked, included in conversations with others enjoying the evening and it felt like being welcomed to someone’s home and being treated like family. Everything was great – the food, the wine and the dessert!

I am definitely coming back. If you want great French food with wonderful service, head over to Le Central!

Classic French, affordable prices…other than that there’s not much else good to say. The food was fair, nothing I couldn’t have done better at home. The decor is dated and seriously in need of a remodel. Tables are way too close. You can’t help but hear what your neighbors are saying. Service was horrible. Our waiter dropped our wine cork on the floor, picked it up and just layed it on the table. This guy has no business working in an “upscale” restaurant. He also never cleared our appetizer plates. The table was small enough but add in 3 extra plates and he himself was actually shuffling things around so our entree plates would fit. I would give them a second chance strictly because good friends have tabbed about it including how awesome their server was. We’ll see…

Le C is one of the few spots that I frequent on a regular basis. They are just what they advertise: affordable. Tho I have had several delicious entrees there, we typically go and order the (what seems like) bottemless mussels and goat cheese appetizer. I have tried all of the mussel flavors – and there are A LOT – and they are all wonderful. What amazes me is the quantity you get for only $10! Most places give you 10-12. I’ve never counted them at Le C but it seems like you get at least 30. Remember to ask for extra bread to sop up the delicious juice!!

Reservations are a must. Full mobility is helpful. Woe betide the handicapped who need to use the loo! Service is friendly and attentive, even during busy times. Patience is needed, the chefs take their time creating each dish to perfection. Sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. Try the steak salad.

We eat there on a regular basis, generally on Tuesday evenings. We usually share a bowl of mussels and a bottle of wine. It’s a great place to sit and talk, catch up on our week, plan for the future, just have a lovely, relaxed evening. We’ll be there tonight for the cooking class (love those).
