Easily the worst dining experience I’ve had in Laredo. The lunch special is terrible, the food was extremely greasy and completely tasteless, the fish had zero seasoning so I actually had to use the salt shaker just to try to give it some flavor and to make it worse, the tartar sauce was watery I didn’t even finish half my plate before I gave up and asked for the bill, I left feeling extremely nauseous. Honestly, save your money and go somewhere else, because even hospital food has more seasoning than the food at this restaurant

We had a really bad experience at La roca. After we ordered our drinks we ask for the lunch specials, we waitress told us there were 6.99 and gave us verbally the list on it was besides the enchiladas the fried fish and grilled fish. So we ordered one fried fish and one grilled fish. The portion were small and the plate was simple a small cup of white rice and a one slice of fried potato, like big french fried, so we assume it was like that because of the small price, small portions small prices. When we get the bill the plate prices were higher then what the waitress told us. My friend asked why they were 4 dollar over on our bill. The manager came to our table, he was very rude and he told us he was unable to honor, instead he deducted one drink to compensate the 4 dollars. I have been several times at La Roca but I don’t recommend this place, I don’t understand why do they have special prices if the employees don’t like to sale them. I read another reviews and I see most complaints when customers order the specials.

Not exactly, “I am in Laredo, lets have seafood!” Type of guy, but they have other excellent menu choices. All good, speaking of seafood…Sopa de Siete Mares (sp?) Is a fantastic soup! A big bowl and a meal in itself.

Now they give you some dry biscuits to start with instead of the crackers with pickled carrots which is more in line with a seafood restaurant and they don’t give you bread with your meal anymore because that’s what the biscuits are for. I know its petty, I used to love going there, but won’t be just because of that small detail ✌️✌️✌️
